When did we stop believing that young people have the ability to produce good art? I keep seeing this come up, same with Kane Parsons about Backrooms. Have we infantilized young people this much, that the idea they could be skilled enough to make something good be impossible?
Maybe I’m just misremembering but I don’t remember it being used much as part of Angels characterization, that he had such a sense of justice he took it upon himself to become a hero before joining the X-men. Anyway, someone should play with that if they already haven’t.
Without saying your age, what’s your favorite movie that came out when you were 18?
If you see this, reskeet with a Sentai team that is not Power Rangers or Super Sentai. (Someday I’ll finish drawing this)
With William Metzger showing up in Spider-Man: Brand New Day it would be interesting if we got an X-men that looked more like this... than that! Cause they obviously have been looking at X-Men: Children of the Atom.
After that "live action" Moana trailer came out, I kept thinking they should Sonic the Maui design.... 😂 Just some totally normal Photoshopping.
Hot take: Harping on Rob for his art is boring. Dude was a cartoonist, and his Cable had personality. His design established a new design language that affected superhero design for the next 10+ years. Yeah he was a wall, he was literally a wall sent back in time to stop the Apocalypse.
Very excited to announce I'm now represented by @acolvincreative! So happy to get to work with Andrea!
Social media keeps serving up clips from those Jubilee videos... and I keep seeing this dudes face... and I can't. Just so punchable.
“Show me what comic you loved when you were 13, and that’s all I need to know about you.”
Not to be that guy… but like who are “these” X-men and what are they returning from?
This is what happens when you watch 5 white person ninja movies, and 3 Eastwood movies you don’t remember.
Studios used to fund movies like this without the expectation it would be a massive hit, they did it because they believed in it. They would have other sure fire movies in the roster to balance out the year. MBAs have ruined our brains.
Guys… it’s so crazy complicated they had to write an article, but you watch them in the order they came out.
