Humans already alter their own brain states — coffee boosts focus and alcohol relaxes. Neurotech could deliver the same effects with precision and without the systemic risks. Read about how neurotech can expand from purely clinical to consumer use ⬇️ zenodo.org/records/2011...
Can the human brain provide the reference architecture for more human-like AI? Coming out of discussions at the PL Neuro Connectomics Workshop last month, Moritz Helmstaedter details a 10-year, $10–20B technical path to map every synapse in the human brain. Read more: zenodo.org/records/1973...
What is holding #neurotech back from being one of the greatest breakthroughs of our time? Infrastructure. Getting from approval to access takes years — delaying patient access & company capital. PL Neuro aims to break these bottlenecks. Here's our Roadmap: zenodo.org/records/1924...

Inspired by the AI capability hierarchy outlined in Liu et al., 2025 (arxiv.org/abs/2504.01990; Fig 1.1), we argue that CDM includes metacognition, cognitive flexibility, episodic memory, lifelong learning, abductive reasoning, social and common-sense reasoning, and emotional intelligence.
This is spot on. Not only are definitions missing, there’s not even a framework for definitions. It’s “missing step 2” the whole way down
