UKMTO has issued a warning regarding an ATTACK on 13 Jul 2026. A tanker was hit by an unknown projectile on its starboard side engine room, 40NM NE of Qalhat, Oman. All crew are safe and no environmental impact is reported. Vessels are advised to transit with caution.
UKMTO received a report of an incident 50NM south of Aden, Yemen. An eastbound tanker in the IRTC was approached by 6 small boats. An onboard Armed Security Team (AST) fired warning shots after one boat closed to 5 cables. Authorities are investigating. #MaritimeSecurity #RedSea #Aden
