It's been a little bit since I've posted much about SENTRY, so here's a snippet from an early level I was working on earlier today. Still working on it! #gamedev
All of the UE6 chatter was getting me down, but I realised I'm still rocking Unreal 4.27 for my game, so I guess it won't effect me? 😅
I did start a follow up. Just sorta lost steam on it... not sure I've shared this anywhere before! Maybe I'll revive it at some point?
I missed #screenshotsaturday but I started working on a thing for a bit of fun. I've been really enjoying the new Protomen album... 😅
About time I started work on the second level of Something in the Water (this wasn't in the original jam version)! #gamedev
It's been a minute since I shared any SENTRY progress, so here's 1 wave in 1 minute! #gamedev
So I guess this is where I start looking into a VPN. Honestly this country is getting fucking ridiculous. Been a while since I've been annoyed about anything this much.
Didn't have any time to do much art this evening, so I started working on the basement washer room in Something in the Water's midgame... #gamedev
This is still very WIP but a little #gamedev progress on Something in the Water's new starter enemy... what do you think? And yeah, I know it needs a face 😅
Before I can make a proper Steam page for Something in the Water, I've got to block out a bunch of different biomes. Just one of those necessary evils of #gamedev. Here's a wee bit of E1M4...
I should probably say, if anyone's interested in testing the build for "Something in the Water", I'll have some testing slots over on Discord soon: discord.noonan.design
It's been a little bit since I've shared any "Something in the Water" progress - here's me doing some vertex painting in E1M1 #screenshotsaturday
Every so often I'll head to the old combat gym to bully a Raider and balance some values. Always fun 😅 #gamedev
I am aware I've not posted anything about Something in the Water for a while - but I'm still working on it! Currently working on adding a little depth to the shooting mechanics... #screenshotsaturday
Looking forward to the end of my shift - look what just arrived from Nintendo 😅
Been fixing a couple of rendering issues in Something in the Water - sprites are now lit on both sides when they're near a light source. #gamedev
My first act of becoming a 40 year old man was rewatching The End of Evangelion 👍
...how was this 5 years ago? Yikes. Anyway, here's the second trailer featuring the updated art. I was really happy with the direction I was going; I essentially moved away from my flat handpainted Photoshop textures for materials built in Substance. I'm still very much learning those tools 😅
Just a quick reminder that SENTRY now has co-op! #screenshotsaturday #gamedev #indiedev
