Progress is HAPPENING on my paper minis for paperminijam4 over on itch dot io. Scanned in the inked fellows AND the corrections I wanna make. Now I'm just touching up the fronts. Then the backs! Then color! A lot to do.
haha AND playing with the nobs on the cigarette vending machine while they paid the bill
U_U My wife and I daily say "alright, see yah" in the exact cadence of Joker when you stop talking to him in ME1. Also
86% back at it again. Working on paper miniatures for my bud @hairic.bsky.social who is running a paper mini jam over on itch(dot)io. I'm basing them on the example war-bands in Space Weirdos, and definitly not on Tyranids and/or Genestealer Cults.
I didn't see this D&D art from the UK cover until much much later, and then learned later than that it was a John Blanche, but was absolutely not surprised. Out the gate the British TTRPG scene was thick with indie-punk-grit from their comic scene.
One of my favorite Blanche pieces, the iconic cover of Sisters of Battle Codex for Warhammer 2nd Edition. Incredible colors and composition, absolutely bristling with Weird Guys, and at the center of it all a Bad Bitch with a big pistol with bigger hazard stripes skull boob-armor. It's perfect.
TWO in our collection, actually! Menu Design in America: a visual and culinary history of graphic styles and design 1850 - 1985 by Heimann, Jim Classic Menu Design: from the collection of the new york public library, by Alejandro, Reynaldo G
FOR WHAT ITS WORTH... and this is a REALLY shitty photo, but I doodled Serafina when i printed off chapter 1 (I don't like reading on my phone if I can help it)... I didn't get very though because i was at work and got distracted.
A 40k "Rhino" is $60, so I found a paper template. It's coming together WAY better than I thought, but is VERY labor intensive. I'll tweak the workflow and materials once this one is complete. And if it ends up looking kinda ass in the end, I'll bash it with a hammer and use it as terrain.
When I called to refill my meds last Tuesday the Pharmacy tech said "oh you're due for a tetanus shot. It's been 10 years!" ...and in a stunning display of cosmic subtlety, every day since I have cut and stabbed myself with the oldest, dirtiest blades and needles.
This passage was copy-pasted on page one of Palladiums Rifts, Heroes Unlimited, etc. along with spot art from the particular book. This one is from After the Bomb, the RPG they put together after they lost the ninja turtle license.
oof sorry I went to get paper and thought "what if I dug out the paints" and then two hours later woopsie, it's not really a doodle. Hope you like it! happy birthday!
Lilith's semi-translucent form in the opening cinematic was more interesting and effective than her out-and-about Santuary dress and bone protrusions. I mean, she seems great, and the dress IS good... but when I first saw the cinematic reveal they almost had me on that vision alone. (pst 3 of 4)
