This Thursday’s episode of Surviving Earth dealt with GABI (the Great American Biotic Interchange). I was entrusted with designing several animals including the gigantic ground sloth Eremotherium eomigrans. I am really fond of ground sloths and I love reconstructing them! #paleoart #SurvivungEarth
I tried to poke it a bit so it moved but I soon realized I was in a very bad position. She had the higher ground and it launched downwards towards me when I poked her tail. So I had to wait for her to relax and move 😅 She was huge and truly beautiful, but she was in a very bad mood.
I think it had cataracts in its right eye but otherwise looked very healthy
I found this Bobcat (Lynx rufus) yesterday and.. listen, we all have to go sometimes 😂 #felids
Last night’s episode of Surviving Earth dealt with the Ordovician extinction and its aftermath. For this episode I was entrusted to create the concept design for Endoceras 9as you can see here), Telephina (the swimming trilobite) and Nerepisacanthus (the Silurian fish) #paleoart #SurvivingEarth
I get a lot of good birds perching on the tree in front of my bedroom window
I could not be happier of how my concept designs got translated into 3D models by the talented artists at MilkVFX. Here are three more animals that I designed for last week’s episode of Surviving Earth: Dimetrodon, Diplocaulus and Dendromaia #SurvivingEarth #paleoart #sciart
I was lucky enough to be asked to do the concept designs pf both mosasauroid lizards from last week’s episode of Surviving Earth: Tylosaurus and Portunatasaurus #SurvivingEarth #paloeart #sciart
Here are the concept designs that I did of the pliosaur Brachauchenius and the indeterminate nodosaur for last week’s episode of Surviving Earth #paleoart #sciart #SurvivingEarth
Working in a Sunday (as per usual) but so many amazing projects though!
For last week’s episode of Surviving Earth, I was entrusted with doing the concept design for Saurornitholestes. Here you can see my concept design and how amazingly it was translated into a 3d model by the talented artists at MilkVFX #paleoart #sciart #SurvivingEarth
The third episode of Surviving Earth is now available in PEACOCK. For this episode I was entrusted with creating the concept design of just 3 species: The small mammal Unnuakomys and the dinosaurs Asterioris and Saurornitholestes. I’ll post some concept art soon Stay tuned 😊
One of my favorite concept designs to do for Surviving Earth was Zupaysaurus. I was entrusted with designing both the adult and juveniles. It was special for me to see this design come to life #SurvivingEarth #paleoart #sciart
Episode 2 of Surviving Earth premiered last night on NBC and is now available on Peacock! This episode deals with the consequences of the Carnian Pluvial event! Here I can show you the concept art of Panphagia and the baby Ischigualastia (the latter you’ve already seen) #paleoart #sciart #conceptart
The second episode of Surviving Earth premieres tonight on NBC! But before that I want to share with you more concept designs I did for various animals from last week’s episode. If you know me you can imagine how excited I was to design Triassic species for this show! #paleoart #sciart #conceptart
Continuing with the first episode of Surviving Earth (which premiered last Thursday on NBC/Friday on Peacock) here is another look at one of the animals for which I created the concept design. Meet the super cute Elph borealis, a small Late Permian dicynodont
Last night was the premiere of the first episode of Surviving Earth! I want to share with you snippets of the concept art I did for Inostrancevia #SurvivingEarth
I have been very busy working in many new projects. One of them is a commission that deals with Pleistocene fauna, so I have been sketching and revisiting some old concept sketches of many animals from that time period #paleoart #sciart #pleistocene
Thank you so much to Tim Haines and Impossible Pictures for trusting me to be one of the talented artists who created the concept art for the series! It is a dream come true to be able to work in a project like this one!
I am so happy to share with you that we finally have a premiere date! Surviving Earth will premiere Thursday June 4th on Peacock! NEW episodes will premiere every Thursday after the 4th! #SurvivingEarth #paleoart #dinosaurs
Sonselasuchus was one of several species of Shuvosaurid pseudosuchians that lived during the Late Triassic. This small animal was part of a large radiation of crocodile relatives that went onto many niches that will be eventually occupied by dinosaurs later in the Jurassic
This amazing animal was described yesterday in the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology by Elliot Armour Smith and Christian Sidor. I was commissioned to create the illustration of this amazing animal that appears in the paper and the press releases www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....
