I happen to find myself in Maine this week; without a doubt, Platner would have won. Now, because he was never properly vetted and indeed appears to be a terrible person, we’ll be stuck with Collins. Anyway Maine is actually a wonderful state filled with great folks. Here’s a Maine timeline cleanse.
As of June 22, Baltimore had 46 homicides year to date. While there can sometimes be a summer spike, if the current trend continues, Baltimore could potentially have fewer than 100 homicides for the year, which I don’t believe has happened since 1961. The drop since 2022 is incredible.
62% of the country is in a drought. 44% are in “severe to exceptional” Yeah let’s build some more data centers, huh?
If you’re wondering how Bluesky is handling this news, here’s my reply to a guy who hoped Platner would DIE so democrats could nominate someone else, which got me blocked. 🤷 I’m not a Maine voter, and I’m not a Democrat, but the choice is now between Platner and a literal fascist-enabler. That’s it.
