Cat dad north of Hadrian’s Wall. Hillwalker. Probably “woke”. Sometime korfballer. Music, food and travel. And history and architecture. #NUFC North-eastern England. Like Reform? Passionate about flags? You’re going to hate me.
I don’t know who drafts NUFC’s press releases these days, but these are lovely words:
“Buckingham Palace? When I were a lad it was Hampton Court or Windsor and by the time you walked there, without shoes, at 3am in the morning a new Prime Minister had been installed”
JKR having a go at the “lanyard class”. Lanyards are great. They keep your phone dry when you’re out walking and it’s wet. Went out on a boat a few weeks ago and was able to take photos without fear of throwing my phone in the sea. Here are some seabirds in a rock, Joanne. Enjoy them.
Ours are struggling too and I think where you are it’s even hotter. Managing to keep them well hydrated, keep the house manageable and avoid hot patios.
Having next to no emotional attachment to any NUFC players will make it a lot easy to accept us being shite this coming season.
A reminder that this was Matt Badloss’ assessment from earlier today. Fair to say that it has not aged especially well.
So what if Oxford is getting a third Gail’s? Get to thirty. Then we’ll talk.
How about it? When the wind blows, he dances and all around the plinth you have the words “Is ex Blyth oriundus est” (He’s from Blyth). Would bring in the tourists.
Didn’t post that many from my walk yesterday which took in High and Low Force. I definitely needed to get out and it did me the world of good. Walking is the tonic to a sometimes hectic and emotionally draining life and sometimes you do have to push yourself to get out there.
Can anyone help me identify this bird? It flew above me for an about half a mile when I was walking and just wouldn’t seem to leave me alone until at some point it just seemed to give up. I think it’s a lapwing but I’m not brilliant at identifying birds.
You wouldn’t believe this is England would you? Teesdale always feels a bit Icelandic to me, flat ground, shallow but fast flowing rivers, dispersed settlements and fells.
So it seems the club can just do deals out of nowhere after all. This hasn’t seemed on the cards. Watch this space then.
