Though Anja and I are old (internet) friends, neither of us is the other's most frequent collaborator. As of today, I have contributed to roughly 100 anthologies: jotinthedark.com#anthologies. I'm also compiling my own science-fiction stories, including "New Owners... etc." for my first collection.

He asked for yet one more poem give a *happier* closure to the story. I wrote "Farewell Hungry Thing," bringing the total (including The Art of Hunger) to five poems. Two years and twenty illustrations had accumulated. Now in 2019, we had a book to assemble. 6/7
So I wrote "The Art of Hunger." Although he liked it also, he was disappointed that the style was so distinct, and it did not finish the original story. He asked me to I try again, incorporating a forbidden tree. And so, I wrote, "The Forbidden Tree." 5/7
I sent him ten. He replied by observing that "Hungry Thing" and "Remembering Gladys" obviously connected, and volunteered to conjure custom illustrations for them. As these progressed, he was inspired to suggest that if the another poem resolved the story, we could have a book. 4/7
