The Sheffield Youth Folk Festival in Sheffield this Saturday celebrates 10 years of the Soundpost Folk Factory. There are workshops, concerts, sessions and a ceilidh. @helpsheffield.co.uk

Wath Festival includes gigs, dancing and throwing of bread rolls from the church spire. Cancelled gigs: Sarah McQuaid at The Lantern Theatre, Hank, Pattie & the Current at The Greystones, John Showman and Chris Coole at Cafe #9 and at Cubley Hall are all cancelled. Still plenty to choose from.

After the massive buzz of a fabulous Sesh fest we're back to the usual fantastic line up of gigs and dance events in Sheffield in the next 2 weeks.

Sheffield Folk Sessions Festival is a fantastic 3 day festival of tune and song sessions in pubs in Kelham Island and Sheffield City Centre. No admission charge but always buy drinks at the pubs. @helpsheffield.co.uk

From facebook- A Yorkshire Songster launch evening, Weds 8th April at Shakespears. I expect this will be full very quickly

Next Wednesday (18th) is the first night of a new monthly music night at Crookes Social Club called Acoustic Encounters. "Each evening will feature three primarily acoustic acts playing a 40/45 minute set each, £10 entry" @helpsheffield.co.uk
