i like using my phone for photography but it really only works during the day unless i wanna haul out a tripod. like, i only like the results if i use raw format and the raw sensor noise gets downright untolerable very quickly. i took one pic with the main @ iso1000 and it was nearly unworkable

This Movie Fucking Rocks. something super strange and compelling about how it films and depicts violence - two men shoot at each other in a hallway without moving until one of them drops and then the camera just lingers for a moment before deciding to catch back up with the victor. so cool

really good but it's so minimal and seemingly detached from the emotional stakes of its own narrative that i found it hard to engage at points. exactly as long as it needs to be, though; more movies should be 45 minutes. first film i've ever seen in a theatre! alongside the next thread entry

childhood favorite that like, mostly holds up. wish they weren't so leering towards Jessica, the game's one main-character woman. the diversity of accents in the english localization is occasionally cool and sometimes deeply funny. this game has some real ass emotional hard hitters too. :D

here's one from adobe themselves. to my eye the right side looks like a slight over-application for the sake of a more dramatic result, it's a bit smeary, but it's still amazing stuff. and this article is from 3 whole years ago!

went out and did some night photography with a group

such a big-hearted movie with such an amazing ensemble cast!! love the insanely grainy black and white. honestly just a joy to watch except for the part where native americans are straightforwardly presented as naught but a threat to our white cast and not humanized at all, but, well, 1939.
