A labor of love

Cabbage White butterfly on salvia.

A white butterfly on a salvia flower.

The photo is taken from the side so you can only see one of the butterfly's wings. It look wrinkled with several lines extending the length of the wing. Its legs, head, and antenna are all white.

The flowers are spikes with several purple flowers on each spike.

Kinda have to pee, but I can hold it for a little.

My foot and the edge of the blue hammock I'm laying in. Pine trees (Douglas fir and apaloosas) abound. The sun is setting on an excruciatingly hot day. Shades of blues, pinks, yellows, and oranges paint the sky. I also have the hiccups but don't want to get up to remedy them. Hopefully they will just play themselves out.

The left half of the picture is white lillies while the right is yellow lillies. They are asiatic lillies. They have 6 petals, shaped like stars, and long, prominent stamen and speckles toward the middle. There are some buds that have not opened yet.

I'm in an orangey mood this year, I guess.

An open orange dahlia. It has cup shaped petals toward the middle and more flattened petals in the outside. The leaves are dark, almost black and there is a blackish purple bud, closed tightly above the opened one.

Wildflower time. Pink wintergreen. It's a wet summer and the creeks are up, bringing flowers I've never seen.

Hi Ash! 😆 a little of that too. My husband is building a picnic area, and we decided to terrace it with some rocks i needed to get out of the garden.

This poppy is trippy

Honeysuckle going rogue.
