Do you like Tim Sullivan's series featuring the brilliantly persistent DS George Cross? We have multi-user copies on the eAudio on the Libby app, as well as eBook copies and good old paper and ink copies too! Keep your eyes peeled as we may just have an event coming up soon with Tim!

We have two ways to print your documents at the Library - our Wifi Printer is super for a few pages in mono only. You can connect to this via your mobile device. Our public computer printers produce much higher quality prints for multiple sheets. Please note we only accept cash for print payment.

prints up to 4 sheets
15p per side black and white only
good for boarding passes or postage lables
print direct from files downloaed on your phone
not suited to photos or screen shots

computer pritners
prints multiple sheets
higher quality print outs
b&w 15p per side colour 30p per side
log onto library computers to use
ensure you bring your relevant passwords for emails

Staff might advise you on the best method for printing

We got a lovely email from one of our USA visitors. 🙂 A good time to remind everyone we offer temporary memberships if you are only in Shetland for a short time - and that we have lovely staff!.

The incredibly welcoming and helpful staff issued me a card on the spot. They helped me install the eBook app and I also borrowed books about the Shetland Islands’ history, traditions and traditional handcrafts. I’m a world traveller. I have never found another library willing to allow me to borrow their books.
Thank you for extending your services to travellers. Thank you for all being so wonderfully kind and helpful."
