List-maker, office supply lover, late-1900s nostalgia chaser, book consumer, children's & YA GN enthusiast. Overly sentimental. Opinions my own.
My reactive girl (front) is doing so well, being this close to another dog. We're bringing in a trainer next week to see if we can do even closer.
Mmhmm. He hasn't been subtle. Why try so damn hard to find innocence? (That's a rhetorical question.) I commissioned these last year but he's been a terrible human for longer than the past year and a half.
The library card poster was hung this afternoon, my latest addition to the Back of the House Blues gallery (art must have semi-prominent use of blue to be permitted here). There's a much less filled Pretty in Pink gallery across from this wall and a Promontory Wedding gallery adjacent to both.
Got mine in. I had a small set of zines before but this really makes what I have a proper collection. Time to get some magazine holders and create an inventory before I get too far into collecting.
Starter kits of back to school supplies to hand out. •15 sets 1-subject notebooks + loose leaf paper (wide) •15 sets 1-subject notebooks + loose leaf paper (college) •30 pencil cases w/ 1 mechanical pencil, 2 wooden pencils, 1 glue stick, 1 pair of scissors, 1 pack of crayons or colored pencils
New art from @titsay.bsky.social and @amlibraryassoc.bsky.social going up soon. Bees and library cards are what dreams are made of.
Sometimes it's nice to be invisible. It certainly beats being seen as a punching bag.
This young person did the right heart with his hands! The kids are all right!
3.5 weeks to unwrap it and move it to the basement for painting. Pretty quick for me, believe it or not. Naturally I'm stuck in the overthinking phase of how I should paint it. I'm feeling inspired by Olly Costello but do not have the skill set.
A couple of the books that arrived today. I love my personal library. 😎
Did I do the grilled Mac and Cheese sandwich right? Silly question. I ate it, so I know I did.
A very Happy Pride to all. 🌈 (I enjoyed these, just not trying to make my ranking the point of this.)
The blue Samsung SGH-R225, top left, was my first phone. It probably had a crude form of Internet but I was only interested in the very separate AOL Instant Messenger app. That was favored over texts for friends I couldn't call.
Hmm. Can't speak to the texts with accuracy but I feel like I got unlimited texts. Back then (this is from my first cell, August 2003), we were/I was still in our/my *talking* era. My friend group and I wanted voice, so we treated our monthly minutes like gold and waited for 9pm to call.
My spouse found these discontinued IKEA shelves around 4 years ago and they just sat, waiting to be refinished. Since he teased me about the little food pantry, and he was right to do so, I knew I had to start/finish these. And so I have. My mugs finally have their home. :) #GeriatricMillenial
More plants are starting to bloom. Hoping for tons of bees and butterflies. 🐝🦋
June felt like a lovely month to start this project and my first batch is in progress for a Monday send. :)
A meeting of the minds. Duck, duck, and Goose (Shenzi is sometimes my Goose girl).
Shenzi says hello and that she thinks all the pups in this thread are gorgeous. :)
