spoiler warning for dead/taxidermy animals. Marie Schleinzer (Austrian actress) in bat-themed costumes that literally feature dead bats on them. Really wild
i don't think i've ever bragged about this design. Spider girl who's like an anthropomorphized version of these spiders with big fake cartoon eyes
the awesome thing about mspaint is that you can very technically erase without having to switch tools. if you hover your pen over the tablet without pressing down, you can hold right click to draw with your background color. to be fair, im left handed, so my right hand is free to do this
I began keeping a letterboxd last year(?), and have been trying to watch more movies. This is what I have so far. I go back sometimes and edit ratings sometimes. I like to think one day someone will see me giving the LotR trilogy 2 1/2 stars and wanting me dead
this is like when kids show writers slip in an adult joke but its slipping a woke reference into the adult show. just like someone actually clocking hank as on the spectrum
I just got this really weird email. Can gmail even handle these fonts? How did they do that...
my insane pixel game preference ive learned is that when a game is super low res, i like to make it appear as a smaller window on my screen, so i actually had the "window scale" turned down in fullscreen. especially games trying to emulate a portable console's art style
You too can fake corruptions by occasionally setting a global variable to a random number, and adding that random number to every sprite you draw! also clamp it so it doesnt go outside the bounds of existing sprites!
this screenshot is from when I learned how to fake corruption because sprites and etc are just stored as integers, so I can just add a random amount in my sprite_draw script
my profile picture is from Marimo Dungeon, a game i played as a kid on my ipod touch. I have been reminded of it a lot creating Mary Moe. this was groundbreaking to me when i was 11
What I've come to learn is that I'm actually a horrible level designer. So I'm focusing more on the interactivity and novelty of mechanics instead of tightly structured obstacle courses, which is what I was trying and failing to achieve before.
This level is much less scary and much more silly. Full of lots of stupid NPCs and jokes. It's the land of Mary Moe, and apparently that falling minigame from OFF
