@shorelarking
Aka hpsvanessa - here for beachcombing and drift archaeology. Find me as @shorelarking on insta. 🏳️⚧️
#ThursdayTrick - it looks like sea pottery…but it’s a shell fragment. They fool me all the time #Beachcombing
#MondayMurie - one of the things I like about seabricks is they often have useful labels and makers marks to help you research them (research is my day job so I usually avoid doing too much for sea finds otherwise it turns into work😅) #Beachcombing
#FridayFiligree quite a fancy pattern on this shard of #Seapottery #Beachcombing
#TuesdayTexture reminds me of an orangina bottle, or a green strawberry #SeaGlass #Beachcombing
#WednesdayWhites - I don’t usually take shells from the beach, but I do like to organise them into little piles #Beachcombing
#SundaySunset - as found 😅 one of the more unusual entries in my #BeachGroceries collection #Beachcombing
#MondayMatching two very similar pieces of #seapottery - maybe mochaware? #beachcombing
#FridayFragments teeny weeny bits of green #Seaglass in an old oyster shell #Beachcombing
#Tuesdaytentacle - a seastar / starfish upturned by the tide #Beachcombing
#SaturdaySports one of my most common beach litter finds, although not usually this colour. Unfortunately a lot of our coastline is given over to golfers & their plastic balls and tees end up on the shoreline #BeachPlastic #Beachcombing
UPDATE: finds in the US too but now suggestion is it’s jewellery (rings?) not buttons? Vintage example found but it is milkglass (seaglass versions are clear) & lettering is not offset, so similar but not the same. The mystery deepens! www.instagram.com/p/DaoGT6yzJy...
#ThursdayTricorn a perfectly framed pattern on a piece of #SeaPottery #Beachcombing
#TuesdayTrek found on the beach in Ullapool (technically not found by me but my friend was kind enough to leave it in place for me to pick up) #SeaPottery #Beachcombing
#SaturdaySuggestion I am sure someone identified this shard for me, but apparently I’ve forgotten. Is it Grower, maybe a terrarium or something to put over and protect plants? Or it’s a brand? It was a large mouthed jar either way. #SeaGlass #Beachcombing
#WednesdayWorm *and* #WednesdayWhelk - a fully encrusted whelk shell. I love it when they shear like this and you can see the internal architecture. Part of my v small shell collection - generally I leave them on the beach (the limpets were an accident, scooped up in a beach towel! ) #Beachcombing
#MondayMarble a real treat. A clay marble, just retaining the trace of its painted pattern #Beachcombing #BeachMarbles
#FridayFrosted nicely seaworn piece of blue #Seaglass #Beachcombing
#TuesdayTideline gotta love a pelicans foot shell (though I think it looks more like a wing than a foot) #Seashells #Beachcombing
#SaturdaySalvage a selection of #SeaPlastics removed from the beach #Beachcombing
#WednesdayWorn this #Seapottery blends so well into its new habitat #Beachcombing
#SundaySpecial always a favourite find - a well frosted #Seaglass bottle stopper #Beachcombing
#ThursdayThrong - I don’t usually take natural objects away from the beach, but I do like to leave them in little piles… #Beachcombing #Seashells
Spending the bank holiday sorting; somehow I never have (large) enough storage for any of it… #Beachcombing #Seaglass
#FridayForgot I forgot to post on Friday! But today the sun is out and so I’m sorting glass and had this surprise; I did not see the pattern when I picked this up on Jura, I just grabbed it for the colour #Seaglass #Beachcombing
#TuesdayTangerine - ok more of a lemon buoy. We’re growing our collection of #MacroFinds #Beachcombing
#SaturdayShards - three pieces of 3d floral sea pottery #Beachcombing #SeaPottery
#WednesdayWonder - so-called “pirate glass” old #Seaglass so thick that it appears black until you shine a bright light through it #Beachcombing
