UPDATE: finds in the US too but now suggestion is it’s jewellery (rings?) not buttons? Vintage example found but it is milkglass (seaglass versions are clear) & lettering is not offset, so similar but not the same. The mystery deepens! www.instagram.com/p/DaoGT6yzJy...

#SaturdaySuggestion I am sure someone identified this shard for me, but apparently I’ve forgotten. Is it Grower, maybe a terrarium or something to put over and protect plants? Or it’s a brand? It was a large mouthed jar either way. #SeaGlass #Beachcombing

#WednesdayWorm *and* #WednesdayWhelk - a fully encrusted whelk shell. I love it when they shear like this and you can see the internal architecture. Part of my v small shell collection - generally I leave them on the beach (the limpets were an accident, scooped up in a beach towel! ) #Beachcombing

Against a pale fabric with beige and grey stripes, a large grey oyster and two pale yellow limpets prop up a whelk shell that has been bisected to show the inner spiral. It is encrusted with worm casings.

The same scene with the whelk shell turned around to show the encrustation on the outside.
