CW: guns/firearms Bonus: I technically bought a pistol last Thursday, but it's a black powder flintlock muzzleloader, so "not a firearm" by US federal law. Arguably much rarer than the Benelli, this thing was crafted by "10-Ring Precision" of San Antonio, Texas. Definitely a contraption.

A left side photograph of an unusual target pistol. The design is strikingly modern, similar to single-shot Olympic pistols, but the operating mechanism is a flintlock, a firearms action typically considered obsolete, used in antique replicas.
The light color wooden grips are highly contoured, with a prominent thumb rest and palm shelf.
The barrel is black, octagonal in diameter, and strongly rifled. The frame is solid steel with a burgundy finish.

A right facing photograph of the same unusual target pistol. The flintlock action is on this side and it is on the exterior of the pistol, directly above the trigger.

The frame is very similar to a 1911A1, with existing scalloped cuts near the trigger, but otherwise solid. Also, the trigger pivots instead of sliding. Single action is somewhat heavy but trigger travel is barely measurable in millimeters.

CW: guns/firearms Today, for my first firearm ever, I got a Benelli B76; it's a rare and mechanically unique Italian 9mm. I'm glad to have been able to get this piece of history.
