😆Lockhart then takes Dumbledore's idiom, "impaled upon your own sword", very literally.
😆Dumbledore asks Lockhart why he's so quiet, then Lockhart asks if he's a professor!
🩷Dumbledore reminds Harry and Ron that he promised to expel them if they broke any more rules... then announces that they will *not* be expelled, since they saved the school!
🩷Ginny getting hot chocolate for her troubles makes sense, since it has dopamine in it. Even better, book 3 reveals that chocolate's a treatment for dementor attacks. Since Riddle worked similarly to a dementor, that means that the chocolate must have done wonders for Ginny's soul!
🩷Dumbledore, meanwhile, reassures Ginny that not only will she not be punished, but she'll even get a mug of hot chocolate.
📙Arthur reminds Ginny to never trust suspicious objects.
📙Harry continues telling his story, when he wonders how to tell the story of Ginny being possessed by the diary without getting her expelled (🩷he cares for her well-being). 🩷Fortunately, Dumbledore somehow pieced it together!
🩷Molly and Arthur gave Ginny a hug as soon as she was safe, and then Harry! 😆Also, McGonagall has a wonderful way of describing how Harry and Ron handled the rules: they were breaking the rules "into pieces"!
😆🩷Myrtle takes such a liking to Harry that Ron compares her to Ginny... which gets especially funny, given how Ginny would become even more important to Harry later!
🩷The wonderful scene of Fawkes carrying away Harry, Ron, Ginny, and Professor Lockhart. 😆Also, Lockhart thinks that it's "just like magic"!
😆A funny moment from Lockhart wondering if Harry, Ron, and Ginny live in the Chamber. He forgot everything!
📙Harry decides not to tell Ron and especially Ginny about who'd been opening the Chamber... well, not yet anyhow.
🩷Ron is quite happy to see his younger sister and best friend safe!
💧Ginny is afraid that she would be expelled. 🩷Harry reassures her that the diary is done for.
🩷Ginny then awakes to see Harry covered in blood, holding a sword in one hand and the destroyed remains of the diary in another!
📙Harry notes that dying is "not so bad" (possibly foreshadowing him becoming "Master of Death" in book 7?), then realizes that Fawkes has healing tears.
📙Harry then stabs the basilisk, covering him in even more blood and killing the snake!
