I love a good vocaloid cover album, but I especially love how suited Hatsune Miku's voice is for '80s new wave, art pop, psych folk, etc. Fortunately there are several album for this type of thing. Really fun to hear her doing Jun Togawa, Yoshiko Sai, Haruomi Hosono.

my favorite Hiroshi Yoshimura album, Air in Resort is the one of the few that has eluded reissue so far. it was a collaboration with Shiseido perfume, packaged inside of a green plastic bag to keep the fragrance inside. apparently it smelled like "forest."

really sudden and devastating development: I have learned that my beautiful little baby has bladder cancer. she's going in for surgery tomorrow. if I can get some encouraging words for her, I'd appreciate it.

Loving this book of '90s rave flyers from Japan. There's such a wonderful hodgepodge of disparate art styles, collaging, and blatant copyright infringement. The perfect visual analogue to the plunderphobic nature of the whole scene.

this is an album that sounds exactly like the cover looks. you will probably not be able to guess what it sounds like, but once you hear it you will agree. just two guys causing mischief and having a cheeky grin about it
