Variant Spotter SC2 .
Hence we have a bit of time to assign the mutations of the wonderful WW dashboard by @solidevidence.bsky.social : 532S+613H growing fast on extreme left are TA.1 the most mutated XFG
Same trend in China especially in the South: www.chinacdc.cn/jksj/jksj04_...
Hk Report is out. Cases are now clearly uptrending and all the indicators tell the same story: www.chp.gov.hk/files/pdf/co... Outbreaks are in long term care facilities. It should be driven by 420N lineages on NB.1.8.1 backbone. XFG weirdly high in Wastewaters. cc @snpoehlm.bsky.social
This is the trend in Singapore: Dominated by NB.1.8.1+ S:D420N but RF.5 and RW.1.1 maybe catching up. BA.3.2 not going away anyway
New UKHSA report, Sars Cov 2 at very low levels with a slight uptrend. NO BA.3.2 NO Nb.1.8.1 found in UK. RF.5 RV.1 and XFJ (likely RW.1.1) on the rise there www.gov.uk/government/s...
Here the last report from there : www.gob.mx/cms/uploads/... The BA3-2 thing i think comes from the 1-4yo bar:
Poco fa intensita' di 430mm/h per 50mm versati in poco tempo a Vidigulfo tra Pavia e Milano, mentre il temporale su Segrate poco prima era arrivato a 350mm/h con quasi 70mm di precipitazione
Flying now over Italy from Fort Johnson South likely directed to middleast (Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC)?)
It likely emerged in mainland China, where we already saw XDV jumping ahead acquiring combinations of mutations: XDV >456L> XDV.1 >184S,478I > XDV.1.5.1 > 22N,59S > NB.1 >> S:A435S,493E >> NB.1.8.1 > 253G 417T 420N 478T > PQ.16.1.1
In the meanwhile @ryanhisner.bsky.social and others discovered some peculiar preference of BA.3.2 toward kids , there is now something new growing apparently fast: it is PQ.16.1.1 with this spike: 22N 59S 184S 253G 417T 420N 435S 456L 478T 493E nextstrain.org/fetch/genome...
Double hit, when the missile impacted there was already a fire starting on the left
Double hit just a fraction before the baistic.missile hit a fire started on the left of the following impact see:
there is also a smaller cloud belonging to BA.3.2 already up to 20%, that tris in the angle of the white rectangle in the pic below! (S:P9L,S:P26L and G21452A)
The growing cloud in the middle of the pic, above the cloud lining with the median, in the @solidevidence.bsky.social WW dashboard, is BA.3.2
To better explain, when i explode the growing mutations in this table, all the BA.3.2 related mutations are artifacts, so it could be legit that the database tries to filter what is going on.
David Ho et al on BA.3.2 and other variants neutralization by LP.8.1. vaccine serum: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6... h/t Euan Arnott
First BA.3.2.2 from England not yet on #Gisaid it is a RE.1.1 imported from Australia in the S:H49Y branch and has further S:V1228L in the spike nextstrain.org/fetch/genome...
i think it was dominant since end of July 2024, the up and down then are just sequencing intensities. then grew over 50& with XDV.1.5 NB.1 and then over 90% with NB.1.8.1 but in som e areas it was already 100%
First BA.3.2(.2) sampled in Mozambique uploaded to Gisaid. It has been collected in March 2025 and it is the most recent sample from that country nextstrain.org/fetch/genome...
Dave McNally tool is a bomb to live-tracking prevalences Please give him a follow and especially give him credits of all the giant work made by him through the pandemic @oliasdave.bsky.social Looking at the chart XFG+NB.1.8.1 together are likely between 75-90% in the very last weeks globally.
Dave McNally did it again! Probably he is one of the most underrated developers of SC2 tracking tools , beside being the man who found JN.1! He has just released a wonderful tool for tracking everything , now. From an original idea by @josetteschoenma.bsky.social ukcovid.xyz/2025/world_s...
NB.1.8.1 XFG LF.7.6.2 NY.9 and especially XFJ took over in the last period in Piedmont, Italy. Great work by #ArpaPiemonte and the team with Carlotta Olivero who has been always active , and ready to support, the variant tracking community www.arpa.piemonte.it/scheda-infor...
