Another batch of random phenotype rolls just because, now with the other Omiyen subspecies variants ✨Color rants in alt text #oc #ocart #ocsky #anthro #omiyen #ocnsfw

Both got body gilding! Gilding is usually a lighter version of the final coat color, and follows along pathways of other patterns, including the ventral color as seen here.
Eye and tongue color is linked by a gene called OCX1, and has enhanced and super forms.
Red is the super form of gold, and this particular blue is the enhanced form of default blue.
I made underlying skin color a bit more obvious on this set, since Omiyen have dark brown to black skin unless they have a mutation.
This female has a diluted brown base, with the natural brown seen in her masking at the edges of the ventral zone.
The male has a silver dilution over a black base, and both of them got brown ticking, which sticks to ventral zones or at the edges of it.

✨Such red✨ The female has both body gilding and "gilded keirim", the bordered hip lines. Every Omiyen has keirim, and gilded are the most conventionally attractive.
The female is pretty basic, but the male has two different mask patterns happening. He has soft-edged points, but one of the hard-edged variants that results in random body patches, showing his natural base red.
Masks act like a window, and will cut through overlays and dilutions by one stage unless they overlap.
For example, if you have a silver-diluted black base with overlapping masks, a single-masked area will look slate, while the overlapped area will show the base black.
He also rolled a brown mane override, and on the Anu subspecies, the mane is wavy and grows from the throat down the ventral side only.
He has the super form of brown eyes, and the female has standard gold eyes.
He also rolled gold spots but I tried to make them a little more cohesive with his palette.

The female has a bone dilution over a brown base, and a soft mask that only affects the flank area, where the brown is. Ofc, she rolled brown spots, and the enhanced form of green eyes.
She also rolled a white mane, and on the short-furred Zelov subspecies, they still get mane color in the default zones, being the neck, tail, and down the spine.
The male is another silver dilution over a black base because apparently that's what RNGesus likes today.
He rolled a white mane as well, and stripes. He's got the default form of green eyes, but tbh individual shades are just up to artistic interpretation 😂

This was the first roll of the day and I like both of these a lot.
The female got so many patterns. She has a bone-diluted brown base, soft mask on the points, golden agouti (which on the brown base, only affects the lower half of the body), a black mane override, grey spots, and white dusting, which only appears within masked areas.
The male rolled hypomelanistic, so he's got a lighter skin tone that differs from albino or leucistic tones, and also lessens the black sclera. He got the enhanced form of brown eyes but I like them with his color palette.
Stripes, brown mane override, over I *want* to say a silver-diluted brown base.
(someday I will finish the dang compendium and also make like, a phenotype randomizer/visualizer for the masses lol)

These two got a little crazy 😂 The female rolled grey AND agouti, and for Omiyen, I made it so agouti has a different pattern depending on dominant base pigment.
She has a dominant brown base coat, so her agouti gets heavier toward the legs and tail, while her entire body has grey hairs from the grey modifier. She's pale because she rolled iirc, two dominant cream dilution alleles.
She has a "branching" gene that causes the ventral color to expand in the form of stripes, but she's so pale it can be hard to see.
The male is the only hypomelanistic roll I got today, so everything on him is lighter, including his skin, which would normally be dark brown to black. His sclera are dark red due to the hypo, but it's not as bright as the actual mutation for red sclera.
He has a mask gene that's only on the face and ears, the darker grey. Within that mask, he rolled a white "dusting" gene, giving him specks that are so fine it looks airbrushed. Dusting can only appear within a mask.
Red eyes and tongue is the super form of gold eyes. He also rolled grey spots, which are larger than ticking spots, less messy, but still random in their layout.
He also has deep-type keirim, which go all the way to the groin instead of fading out over the hip.

This was the first roll of the day. The female rolled a OCX1-NN mutation, meaning her eyes and tongue don't match, pulling from different genes.
She got a red mane override, which for some reason is the most common color mane I get 😂
She has a black base pigment with iirc, one slate and one cream dilution, so she's pretty neutral grey, and a mask pattern that affects her points, making her face, ears, and limbs darker. She also got brown ticking and body gilding.
Vermir Omiyen have longer manes like the male, but the female didn't get the Vermir mane when I made the bases. Instead, she got the long outer limb fur of the Vermir, and in the case of mane override genes, this fur is also affected.
The male also has a black base pigment with a slate dilution, and because his dominant gene was black, his white phase agouti shows up over the entire body, and he also rolled white spots.
I like that he's pretty simple otherwise, no mane override, no big masks. He rolled the enhanced form of gold eyes and tongue, which are orange.

Shoka don't have any societal stigmas about sex or nudity, and Azra has long been both Moro's steward and his fuck buddy. Both grant Azra societal influence, because he's directly attached to the region's Nadhil (the vassal/lord).

For Shoka, Nadhil are the ideal, and Nadhil usually present themselves as larger than everyone else.

The common, non-shapeshifting nadh (like Azra) find taller individuals more attractive, because they are closer to the Nadhil's level.

Moro is a Shoka, which can reproduce with themselves or humans, and humans give them the best chance at offspring due to not being very mana-dense.

The Shoka suzerainty has a centuries-old population of humans that take up the lower class in the tier system Shoka have. Above humans are the nadh, like Azra, who can't shapeshift. Above the nadh are the Nadhil, like Moro, who can shapeshift and act as the provincial vassals under the suzerain, who holds his position by staying undefeated.

Nadhil are more mana-dense than nadh, and their continued presence in a region makes that region's flora and fauna flourish, so nadh are inherently loyal to their region's Nadhil.

Moro keeps his human form to himself.

Low key forgot her freckles and scars. Moro's tusks were changed back to gold as they should be, and his skin got some extra texturing. The main thing was redoing Brigalia's face because it was driving me nuts. The old version will stay up, tho~

Still slowly working out Omiyen proportions, and I never draw any female characters so I'm testing both with Darvarin and Sahvi 😩 Sahvi (red mane) is pretty simple genetically. Darvarin is a good example of how certain patterns can interrupt what would normally be a solid gold pelt.

Side by side comparison of a male and female Omiyen, using the characters Darvarin and Sahvi to showcase colors and patterns. Base coats have a lateral gradient from the spine to the belly.

Darvarin has a black base gene with a single slate dilution, and a branching belly pattern that gives the jagged stripes from his gradient's ventral color. He has a gold overlay gene which would normally override every other color and pattern, but his mask gene erases it over his torso, and his face has a separate masking gene. Fingers and toes are dark because Omiyen have brown to black skin. He also has a dorsal stripe that can't be seen here, ofc.

Sahvi has a brown-black base gene, no dilutions at all, only the natural base gradient. She has the gene for brindle stripes, and a mask that targets the face and limbs, showing the solid black from her mixed base. Her red is from a mane color override gene.

Every Omiyen has keirim, the stripes over the hip that go from the spine and down the iliac crease. Both of them have standard-type that fade out early, but others have deep-type lines that follow the crease until they converge between the legs. Keirim can be "gilded" with a light border marking either over the top, bottom, or both, and gilded keirim are considered the most attractive.
