Had to use the chat function to try and get British Gas to decrease my Direct Debit. The advisor was helpful, bless him poor man, he stayed on track -- while I continue to live in this dystopian nightmare. #wealthinequality #TaxtheRich
I'm loving @portybooks.bsky.social 2025 Gift Guide tinyurl.com/3n9vrcb7 and I feel like me and ZOË would be book friends, excellent taste and recommendations! #ReadingForPleasure

"We have lost the dignity of our individuality. Our uniqueness has become a burden, an obstacle, or a regrettable distraction on the road to success." Rose, p. 57.
Just started this super readable book and I'm finding it very refreshing. A boy who isn't taken in by the flashiness of Xmas (and is also neurodivergent) and a new dog friend called Susan. Would recommend!
"Being the best test-taker in the world isn't much help for discovering either new truths about the world or new ways of thriving in it." p.190, The Gardener and the Carpenter by Alison Gopnik; reading this book on the recommendation of @drnaomifisher.bsky.social Very interesting and insightful!
Mine's kicked-off the season too, although it's nowhere as prolific as yours! 😍
Currently reading The Burnings by Naomi Kelsey and am wondering if there is a booklist with titles from last 5ish years that tell stories of witches in Scotland/Scandinavia #readingforpleasure
