Sorry, Canada, but your second strip is awful. I felt as if I was watching the guys I'd hired to decorate my house having a lunchtime kickabout.

A member of Canada's World Cup football team displays their second strip, which is black with a white paint-splat effect that suggests maple leaves. Imagine if you left your black t-shirt out to dry on an island inhabited by puffins. It literally looks like shite.

A still from the 1978 children's TV puppet show "Oscar", about a rabbit with with a pterodactyl nemesis. In this still, the three interchangeable sets of sentient false teeth belonging to Oscar's nemesis are hanging on a washing line in front of an endless black void, talking to each other. The idea of sentient false teeth - esepcially ones comprised of sharp fangs - kickstarted an anxiety that has never left me.

A 4 panel comic strip by Poorlydrawnlines. Panel 1: a woman with a dog says "I guess I'm a dog person". Panel 2: The dog reveals himself to be a sneaky cat, who takes off his dog disguise and says "guess again...". Panel 3: woman says "You piece of shit...". Panel 4: The panel shows the cat giving both pawfingers, clearly antangonising the "dog person".

Everyone goes on about Leonardo da Vinci's genius... but man, he was shit at stoats. Either that, or for medieval mustelids every day was leg day.

Leonardo da Vinci's painting "Lady With An Ermine", whereby our talented painter demonstrates that you could do a better job of painting a white ferret than he did. That feisty carpet noodle is more musclebound than Lou Ferrigno.

I am very grateful for the Emotional Support Friendo that accompanied me on my hospital visit today [courtesy of the excellent - and excellently named - @vimtotime.bsky.social ] A suprising bonus is that my ESFs also smell AMAZING. I'm sure that doesn't sound in any way weird.

A little Emotional Support Friendo, that I acquired from @vimtotime.bsky.social, is peeking out from the manbag that I took with me to some hospital scans today. I felt completely supported by my new friendo.
