Headteacher of the primary school I went to when I was little. Worked here for over 20 years and still love it. We were evacuated 16/01/23. Can’t wait to be back together as one school. Also love books.
Just finished and I can’t wait to share it with the children at school. They will love this wonderful adventure mystery story and it will really help them to think about walking in someone else’s shoes. Thank you @coralrumble.bsky.social for writing another beautiful and moving book.
Puppy sitting 🩷🐾 How on earth does anyone get any work done when they look at you like this
7:30am start today setting up for the Barrow schools end of year Mass. Then goodbye to my niece who is leaving Sacred Heart for high school. That’s a wrap 2025/26!
Summer project - we want / need this window from church. School’s been demolished, we are in temporary accommodation on two sites (after moving 8 times), not been together as one school since Jan ‘23, church is closed and up for sale. Not sure how to make this happen but we are having it.
In love with my sister’s new puppy 🩷🐾 Her cat does not look like she approves of the new addition to the family at all.
So proud of my little ballerina niece. Excited to watch her tonight in Swan Lake. Not even a visiting circus could interrupt her focus 🩰🩷💪
Just wrestling with the fact that this hand knitted doll was made for the children not the headteacher. But she’s so cute. If she did end up in the head’s office would that be classed as an abuse of power? Asking for a friend
A big thank you to @pkainsworth.bsky.social The Barrow heads and the Sacred Heart team all found your sessions super useful 😊 Thank you Dan Vince at St Bernard’s High School for hosting 🫶
Such a lovely event this afternoon. Discovering and connecting the community gifts we all have to offer. Small actions big difference ❤️
Annual Education Mass, memorial of Our Lady of Fernyhalgh. It made me think about my late great uncle, Fr Benedict Ruscillo, who was the chaplain at Ladyewell for many years. Thanks for being a role model of kindness, patience and faith Uncle Ben.
Officially prom season. Eldest’s sixth form one this week. Youngest’s high school one next week.
@mrstammers.bsky.social We had a great time at demystifying adaptations with NPCAT. Thanks for the early finish ☀️🍻
The children had a great time at Barrow Booktastic ❤️📚 Live drawing, books and humour - what’s not to love!
#DaveDay2026 Barrow out in force to cheer on the bikers. So much community spirit 🫶
“No home, no school, and especially no library should be without this story.” Michael Morpurgo Parts of this book made me absolutely furious but it has left me feeling full of beautiful hope. Essential reading. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
When your headship is already quite weird and then a local resident captures this photo …. This actual chicken crossing the actual road is making me question reality just a little bit.
The end of an era and a skyline changed forever. A building that was the setting for generations of stories has gone. But our Sacred Heart community is more than just the building. Time to build something great for the next chapter.
Watching from the window with after school club. They think the digger driver would be awesome on the claw machine in the arcade.
