Again a quieter day... Brilliant to have excellent coffee w/ @sarabn.bsky.social with expansive chats. Now sitting like Paul Simon fan-boying that I've been followed by Neil Sims on Insta.
Lauds prayed. Dogs walked listening to this. I love technical death metal. This is some of the very best. Bite me. #metalsky
An *absolutely packed* church for tonight's Simon Balle School awards evening. Such a privilege to nurture this link and to celebrate the successes of students in the wider community.
Lauds Walking the dogs with one of my fave King's X albums on the cans
I asked Gemini what wisdom St Benedict would offer those if us enduring this unspeakable heat. It's answer is alarming in it's accuracy. Full article here: www.facebook.com/share/p/1Ed5...
I am so fed up of this. I cannot concentrate on doing anything that needs doing. It's too hot out. It's too hot in. Sounds like some sort of Hades based hokey cokey
Change of musical tack... The Sundays are always the summer for me. Harriet Wheeler's voice is one of the very finest. Fact. Utter gorgeousness
Taken the dogs out (checked pavements as well as temp) round our massive churchyard. Sat in the lounge with a fan on
Still one of my fave albums of all time. Whatever the genre give 'Language' by The Contortionist a listen. Melodic, emotional, soaring, heavy, rhythmical All killer no filler
Morning all. Rest day on progress. I may not have moved very far yet
A full & fulfilling day. In lieu of morning prayer, a good chat with a new Christian. Leading our Thursday study group. Mid week Eucharist Jerk pork for lunch Coffee with a colleague A little admin Meeting at a local school Evening prayer #dayoffeve #cider #cheers
No, he's an Italian chef. He was VERY apologetic and produced the following to demonstrate repentance!
Online governor training a-go go. Also started another online meeting that I normally host
Phew it's warm! Even church was warm for morning prayer. The Aircon worked as I took communion to the local NCH though!
Peggy or Pip seem to have left me a seasonal gift whilst I was in the kitchen. Hello Santa
After a full weekend (Thurs-Sat) seeing family in.Somerset and Oxford my brain was a bit addled but we've had a full on day. Two creative and reflective services. Lots of movement and activity. Feeling happy. Vids are from this morning's prayer stations
Had a lovely day in Wells today with DW and MiL. Such a gorgeous city. Delish lunch at Niche (photos below). Impromptu coffee with the Bishop's wife ( not a euphemism.) successful shopping for MiL. Looks like our summer holiday plans might be changing...
I may have seen the best gig of my life. I've waited for over thirty years for tonight and they absolutely did not disappoint
Really looking forward to seeing and hearing @markrusselluk.bsky.social tonight #Faithinchildren #Goodchildhood #TheChildrensSociety
