Finally, as I mentioned above, the Professor's nom-de-plume is all over this thing. Not counting the "About Us" section, his name is mentioned sixteen times, each with an air of breathless awe. It's in the title of the backerkit, the blurb, the Ultimate Dungeon Terrain is Professor DM's Ultimate Dungeon Terrain, designed by Professor DM himself! That particular phrase "by Professor DM himself", appears no fewer than eight times. It reeks of theme park podcasts where you have to use the full legal name of the attraction to stop things from becoming genericized. It's a bad look is what I'm saying.

For clarity this community is about as welcoming as indies deserve, probably moreso really. Me in particular? I've seen your drivel enough that I can see through your bullshit like the thin sheet of horseshit it is.
Your enthusiasm is your self absorbed desire to force your work into everything you talk about here. Sorry your stuff isnt (and never will be) popular and isnt one of the top 20 so you will never ever get mentioned beyond your self promo that you want to shove into everything you say. But maybe if you were half as serious as you claim you are you'd figure out how to handle promo without polluting subreddits that arent looking to be billboards?
And trust me, while I am very hostile to your type, this sub is frankly overly permissive as demonstrated by how people overly polite in shooting you down.

Tonight I'm working on banging out the remaining trinket tables I've gotta fill for #dowagerrpg. Someone once shared advice on here to come up with categories you can keep coming back to ("a weapon", "a belt", etc) when writing tables. Here's my cheat sheet of categories for all my trinkets.

General Trinkets:

For a self-proclaimed professional artist of 26 years, this is a cowardly and contemptible way to present yourself online. Find a different profession if this is how you're going to conduct yourself online. We are all struggling to get work right now but that's no excuse to behave this way.

"Go on," said Lennie.
George raised the gun and his hands shook, and he dropped his hand to the ground again.
"Go on," said Lennie. "How's it gonna be. We gonna play a little RPG."
"We'll have an elf," said George. "An' we'll have maybe a goblin an' kobolds.... an' down the map we'll have a... little Dungeon-"
"For the Dragons," Lennie shouted.
"For the Dragons," George repeated.
"And I get to roleplay the Dragons."
"An' you get to roleplay the Dragons."
Lennie giggled with happiness. "An' play on my homebrew rules."
"Yes."
Lennie turned his head.
"No, Lennie. Look down there acrost the river, like you can almost see the RPG."
Lennie obeyed him. George looked down at the gun. There were crashing footsteps in the brush now. George turned and looked toward them.
"Go on, George. When we gonna play it?"
"Gonna play it soon."
"Me an' you."
"You.... an' me. Ever'body gonna be nice to you. Ain't gonna be no more trouble. Nobody gon-na hurt nobody's character nor steal magic items from 'em."
Lennie said, "I thought you was mad at me, George."
"No," said George. "No, Lennie. I ain't mad. I never been mad, an' I ain't now. That's a thing I want ya to know."
The voices came close now. George raised the gun and listened to the voices.
Lennie begged, "Le's play it now. Le's play that RPG now."
"Sure, right now. I gotta. We gotta."
And George raised the gun and steadied it, and he brought the muzzle of it close to the back of Lennie's head. The hand shook violently, but his face set and his hand steadied. He pulled the trigger. The crash of the shot rolled up the hills and rolled down again. Lennie jarred, and then settled slowly forward to the sand, and he lay without quivering.

Sketched out some full pagers for #dowagerrpg to hopefully be done in May. Which illustration should I work on first tomorrow?

The Dollmaker and the Diabolist are looking through magic books in a library. There are spooky gaseous spirits around both of them.

Fear & Hunger is a really popular indie horror game that blew up in the last few years. In terms of explicit content, it's pretty extreme- I pitch it to folks as a game with essentially "all the content warnings", but the description on its steam store page uses fairly plain, matter of fact language

Fear & Hunger is a horror dungeon crawler set in the dark and hopeless dungeons of fear and hunger. The game is a hybrid of survival horror and dungeon crawler genres with its influences ranging from Silent Hill to Nethack. There are roguelike elements to the game as well as a heavy foundation of a j-RPG.

When I lived in Vancouver a few years ago there was this bougie restaurant near my apartment called "What's up? Hotdog!" and they had a menu item that was a bowl of fruitloops with liquor instead of milk that cost like $20. What I'm trying to say is the karmic debt we millenials have incurred is weighty beyond measure and at the end of this life I will surely be reborn as a locust, or perhaps some kind of writhing grub

I've often talked about a "Make it Make Sense" rule when I'm explaining #dowagerrpg to people, and recently I've finally put it into words. I feel like this approach to character options in a game is so much more fulfilling than dumb shit like "medium armor proficiency" or "requires 16 INT"

Make it Make Sense

The freedom to pick and choose Traits for your Companion regardless of Type comes with the responsibility to make it make sense in the fiction. It’s not unreasonable, for instance, for a Humanoid-type Magician to acquire the Blade Ward Trait associated with Spirits: You could just think of this as your ally learning a new spell.

It may seem strange for a Beast-type War Dog to acquire the Soul Sludge Trait associated with Outsiders: A dog cannot normally learn to cast spells, but there is no issue with this combination if you choose to think of your Companion as an otherworldly hellhound bound to their master, or an ordinary dog corrupted by exposure to occult magicks.

If a combination of Traits seems nonsensical, talk to your friends at the table about ideas on how to make it work. If the combination still seems too jarring for your liking, then simply choose different Traits.

As a game, Dowager is not interested in establishing an arbitrary system of pre-requisites and legal combinations of character options outside the most bare necessities.
