Though they painted separately, they did spend time together cooking, writing spells, and looking for ways to prank guests. Their mutual interest in alchemy is evident in their works. Both artists often depicted magical, alternate realities that are characteristic of Surrealism.

While Carrington and Varo shared subject matter based on the universe, the supernatural, alchemy, and astrology, they interpret these topics differently in their works. In the book Surreal Friends: Leonora Carrington, Remedios Varo, and Kati Horna, Stefan van Raay writes, “Carrington’s work is about tone and color and Varo’s is about line and form.”

In Carrington’s book The Hearing Trumpet, she modeled the two main characters after much older versions of herself and Varo, revealing how important she felt the friendship was to her and her wish that it would last well into their old age. Varo also included their friendship in stories she wrote, creating characters just as outlandish as Carrington’s.

If anyone else has a salt deficiency, I made my own version of liquid IV because it has STEVIA!!! I had no idea and I can't do non sugar sweetners due to migraines. It's SALTY, so adjust if necessary 1 tsp table salt 2 tsp sugar 1 packet of each true lemon and true lime Some fruit powder to taste!

Electrolyte drink ingredients from the top left true lime crystalized lime with a halved and quartered lime on the box as well as a packet reading true like. True lemon with the same description as the lime but with a yellow lemon.
Next to that is a tall glass with ice and a tall clear sparkly straw full of pink liquid.
Morton salt with a young girl on a blue cylindrical container.
Under the salt is a square container of sugar.
There is a dragon fruit fruit powederas well as individual packets of true lemon and true lime.
There are also 3 snack bags filled with a ready to mix version of the electrolyte drink.

Ferrous- of, relating to, or containing iron. My baby snake's name. Her dad's name was Beuller, so I had to, but she also has an orange line down her back like rust. Ferrous metals are also magnetic, and I'm always drawn to this dirt pastry.
