Came across grandpa's barn toilet while cleaning out an decaying outbuilding. Made some repairs & it's good as old. #BarnJohn #PortaHole. No more emergency cat holes!

Found this cutie wandering around the property with a too tight collar, dehydrated, very hungry. Took to vet. 10lbs underweight, worms but otherwise nice disposition to go w/some razor sharp puppy teeth. Got him his shots & a safe space. Took a field trip to Petco. (He shoplifted a dog cookie 😬)

I have visited Carlsbad Caverns 3 times specifically to watch the bats fly. First time I was too early and the bats hadn't arrived. Second time there was a drought and no insects. 3rd time...f**kin' 🍊💩. 900 miles from home and no bat flight.

Spending Valentine's Day in, but splurged on making a chocolate VD cake with blueberries & strawberries. It tastes better than it looks. I missed out on the artistic gene. I think my husband will eat it. 🙂

Finally got to test my cold-weather hiking clothes. Smartwool top, bottom w/heavy-weight fleece pants, Enlightened Equipment puffy, smartwool buff, Australian possum gloves with EE mitts, and Darn Tough socks. Rating: cozy. Even survived snow angel.
