Maryland State Delegate Adrian Boafo, the child of Ghanaian immigrants, has won the Democratic nomination in Maryland's fifth district to succeed his boss, Rep. Steny Hoyer. He will be the next member of the Congressional Black Caucus.

All three Mamdani endorsed candidates won their races. Former NYC Comptroller Brad Lander has defeated Congressman Dan Goldman. Clare Valdez has defeated Brooklyn Borough President Arturo Reynoso to succeed Nadia Velasquez. And Darializa Avila Chevalier defeated Rep. Adriano Espaillat.

The racism on display in the Roberts Court's destruction of the most powerful and successful piece of civil rights legislation in our history is why "Polite White Supremacy" and Critical Race Theory were invented.

This is Justice Hugo Black (1886-1971), the child of an Alabama Confederate, who came of age at the height of Jim Crow.
