I stand naked, except for a cap and plimsoles, facing the sun with my back to the camera.
Either side of the narrow pathway that leads to the strandline, rests the wispy marram grass. It stands tall, yet devoid of any verdant hue in the continual heat.

The River Kenfig in South Wales. I took this picture just 2 years ago. Reports today suggest it has been decimated with pollution☹️ The river feeds the Kenfig Nature Reserve and crosses Sker Beach.It’s an important site for wildlife and also a popular site for many naturists. Is nowhere safe anymore?

The author is seen kneeling in the River Kenfig ( Afon Cynffyg in Welsh language) less than 2 years ago. It looks clear and clean. Reports today on local media state suggest it has been decimated by pollution and is unsafe. ☹️
