My grandpa joked "If I had been planted into a hole full of cat shit, I would also try to get out and get some fresh air as soon as possible." Since I lived with my grandparents and witnessed this personally, I will swear every word is true. 7/7 Bonus pic of grandma and our other tux cat #caturday

Slightly curly-haired older white woman is sitting in a comfy chair; she has purple glasses, beige shirt and blue pants. At the background are white closet doors, a curtain hiding a bed, and inexplicable large wristwatch with pink straps hangs in front of it. It was a gift from my uncle's wife, who thought I needed stuff like that in my life to be more "normal" girl.

There's a packet of lasagna sheets under my grandma's hand, as she came upstairs to ask me how to cook with them (she then decided not to).

But the most important detail is a black and white tux cat, happy and thick as heck draped across her chest and lap. His name was Remu and he was a stray for a while, then we took him in and adopted him, after we told the neighbors who had moved away that we had found their cat who had gone missing. They said we should keep him, they could not.

Remu absolutely loved my grandma and would take every opportunity to lounge with her on a sofa or in bed. He was a Great Cat (tm).

Bonus note: while Remu was alone and homeless, Musti hunted food for him. Grandfather witnessed Musti's advanced techniques of catching reckless young birds by laying on her back and pretending being dead. Then, when a bird dived too close, her paw shot up and she caught the bird, then hauled it for Remu to eat.

Liver is not so difficult, BUT, I am in club "Tongue gets to be eaten whole, everything else is ground into paste and put into sausages or other foods as extra". Like LOL, that's when the flavor is released the best, IMHO. Like this is one of my three ideas of how to use liver:

Once upon a time our microwave malfunctioned, and my pizza merrily rotated 15 minutes before I woke up from my hyperfocus daze to smell of something toasting to charcoal and realized that it *had* been 15 minutes, not 3 minutes (to melt down extra cheese). Behold the despair!

A pizza that has turned into a weird sort of charcoal in the middle. The bolognese sauce is completely black, while the mozzarella-swiss cheese extra topping is perfectly normal-looking, as is most of the crust. There's a desperate nibble taken to try and find out if it is still edible. Reader, it was not. It was like biting a cheese-crusted charcoal lump.

Two big things about today: 1) It is 25th of May, which is both The People's Revolution of the Glorious Twenty-Fifth of May and Towel Day, celebrate both, no reason to pick one! 2) Also birthday of Mort and Lobsang, cats named after characters in Terry Pratchett's Discworld. They are 5 years old!

I have discovered that my Didi is a bit of a foodie type. She is clearly saying "Gourmet!" whenever she wants me to give her food.

A very grumpy brown-rosette Bengal cat called Didi is coiled on top of a pink My Little Pony pillow, looking like she has never, ever been fed in her entire life. So, SO very grumpy, ears drawn back, tail huffedly against her body.

So it was a hot day in summer, and my cousin was like nearly a year old, I was almost 15. My aunt (his mom), grandma, me were in the city, he got pushed around in a light stroller to see our tiny city. I stopped to buy myself an ice cream, this specifically:

The one from Russian era is also without genitals, which, uhh wasn't a good look in heraldic system. But the lion definitely looks happier, so maybe it was intentional. Or maybe he went on T and had some bottom surgery after the mishap which needed the cybernetic limb happened. Nonetheless...

Brown-rosette Bengal cat called Carisma has been taken outdoors for a walksies; she is wearing red and white harness and leash, to protect other things from this cunning mastermind who would have dominated the entire multiverse if she had could have. Her brown and black leopard-spotted fur is in nice contrast against green grass and her calculating, thoughtful look is directed somewhere outside of the frame.

Oh dear. One of Carisma's kittens (Big Boi; 2018) was a bit like that -- he liked the fact that milk came out of mommy so nicely, so he scoffed at solids. Then he bit the nip he was suckling, it got mildly infected, and Carisma put her paw down on all attempts to suckle from that moment on. 😂

Ah, bliss! It is an another pic of mommy-kitten pair! This time Carisma, brown-rosette Bengal cat, is protectively curled around her kitten Big Boi. Even her tail is snugly around the wee lad, as the pair sleeps on a pink heartshaped My Little Pony pillow in a comfy chair.

Yeah, I used to lure my kitten to solids by blending it with some kitten milk, just lumps floating in it; she eventually bumped her nose to it, licked it, "Hmmmm, this is kinda neat!" and then took a careful bite after lapping up more kitten milk.

Ahem! Let me present how it happens! 1) have ADHD 2) shove pizza into the microwave 3) twist ittibitti amount of time 4) 15 minutes later realize that the microwave has not gone DING! 5) pull out smoking, charred remains of pizza 6) find out the microwave had broken, too

A small pizza that has a burnt layer between superduper crispy cheese and crust. You can see the despair involved, as there are bites off it. It was yuck.

Central Finland, Finnish: both "miau" and "mau" have been used. Someone needs to tell my Bengal cat Carisma, since the sounds she makes are more like KRÄÄÄÄHHHHHH RIEKS RÄÄÄH. Or her kid, Mort, who goes "piip ääähhh piip". Lobsang sounds like a pigeon with her "kurrrr purr mäh mäh" noises.

Yeah. It really is hard to make people understand what kind of difference length of day makes here. I use Gaisma's daylight chart to illustrate it, it usually helps. But even then there's architecture and everything. As an example...

Gaisma's sunlight chart for Jyväskylä, Finland. Sunrise and sunset are an hour-long productions both ways, there's a massive bulge of direct sunlight in the summer, practically none in winter and no true night around midsummer.
