It's made by Orion so (if we pretend that only Japanese people had a say, or that Orion itself constitutes an exclusively Japanese subjectivised entity) it's kind of one of those things where the minority is performing its own denigration as maybe the only way to successfully pitch themselves to the racist majority. Anyone who's seen a few successful brown or Asian Australian standups from like the eighties through to at least 2010 will probably be familiar with the phenomenon.
