Author of the crime thriller 'A Second Hand Cat', worked as a cop for over forty years, doing exciting things and writing boring reports. Hoping to do the opposite now.
Eyup. There are only two reasons a law enforcement officer would stand in front of a suspect's car 1. He's stupid 2. He wants to shoot somebody Let me leave this excerpt from a PERF report on CBP use of force from 2013:
Eyup. Let me just leave this excerpt from the Police Executive Research Forum's 2013 report on CBP & use of force:
Eyup. You're another one who believes the fake news. He NEVER sleeps!
Eyup. Gotta hand it to 'em. They always look for the silver lining in every dark cloud.
Eyup. All that will be left in the end will be cankles in the sand, and that orange visage staring in blind anger.
Eyup. But sometimes weird stuff happens, like getting into the top 100 on Amazon, without even knowing how that happens. Anyone out there understand just what these rankings are based on? Can't be overall sales, because that's not happening.
Eyup. The federal government taking down displays in Philadelphia because they make white pseudo-Christian America look cruel, while actively demonstrating everywhere else just how cruel it still is. But remember, Federal pardons won't stop state charges.
Eyup. We will all be Renee Good if we don't start banging our spoons.
Eyup. Whiskey Pete's googling Venzwaila. Marco Rubio is wondering where exactly he missed his exit from the highway to hell. Dozy Don is wondering what's taking so long for his diet soda. Everyone else is wondering how long they have to stay in the room.
Eyup NOTE: Research who won a war before trying to make yourself look intimidating by equating your ambitions to it. BTW, Chicago will likely end the same way as Vietnam.
So, anyway, just a question: Once ICE, the largest, most well financed, heavily armed & masked 'law enforcement' agency in America is done feeding 65 million people to the alligators, who's next? #alligatorauschwitz
Emerson said, "The question of the age has for each a private solution." Got mine.
Eyup. At Radio City Music Hall, instead of a normal program, they gave me a big, blank, faux leather souvenir notebook. How am I supposed to write in THIS?
So, anyway . . . Full circle. I saw Jesus Christ Superstar in 1971 at the Mark Hellinger Theater, which was later turned into a church. Last night I attended Jesus Christ Superstar show at a community theater that once was a church. And the weirdest thing about it was the bagpiper outside.
My emotional support notebook. Fits in back pocket & the pen doesn't snag. Takes full sized ink refills. Pads replaceable. Pocket for notes and/or flossing picks.
So, anyway . . . Rubio expels South African Ambassador Rasool while Trump welcomes white South Africans. During Apartheid, Rasool's family was forced out of their home to make way for a whites only enclave. Enough irony to change magnetic north.
#20booknotes on my #20bookchallenge picks I'm a retired cop, a writer, a historical fiction & Hemmingway fan, & been to Havana (a hot mess of a city). Det Conde is a great character. Loved the Four Seasons in Havana book & movie series. Adios is well translated and closes out the set perfectly.
#20booknotes on my #20bookchallenge picks Dave Barry fan for decades, but this one really resonated with me. You can learn so much if you just pay attention to the right teachers.
