I hand-write my notes for the extra layer of "what the fuck did I mean by this"

NOTE Story Bridge will be lit Red White and Blue to celebrate U.S. Independence Day 2026 / America 250.

In 2026, the USA is celebrating 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independance. As part of the festivities, iconic monuments around the world will be lit up in red, white and blue from July 1-4 to mark this milestone. Given the unwavering U.S.-QLD bond since World War 2, it is one that will only strengthen in the lead up to to LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032.

This light up is organised by: Embassy of the United States of America.

Some of that can be attributed to one of the film's two cinematographers, Karl Freund. Freund is a bit of a pioneer in his field, being one of the first people to use an 'unchained camera', AKA a camera that isn't attached to a tripod and can be moved freely. (3/14)
