Started running this, our first adventure for the newly minted master level heroes, Friday night. I’m really enjoying this Shadow of the Weird Wizard campaign. PCs are getting pretty powerful at this level, so I’ll be interested to see if I can really challenge them with this one.

My RPG year in review: I’ve really only been running three games this year. Shadow of the Weird Wizard for the Friday crew (just reached 7th level), Hyperborea for the work group (very rare), and old school D&D for the family (also very rare these days). Having a great time when we do play, though.
Just finished the two novel collection that is John C. Hocking’s Conan: City of the Dead. Absolutely amazing. Especially the second story. Five stars. Hocking might be the best Conan pastiche writer since Robert E. Howard himself penned the Cimmerian. Fantastic.

Continued my Hyperborea RPG / Stonehell Dungeon game tonight. There’s just something about the old school survivalist nature of a megadungeon crawl that makes it a thrilling game.
