My cousin is married to a firefighter, which means the boys got to climb up in the big truck today when we went to visit. Their expressions say it all!

My mom is bathing the salt and sand off of my kids and I’m out on the deck eating mangoes and sticky rice and watching the sun set over the water. Ahhh 🌴☀️🌊
It was a long travel day yesterday 😵💫😵💫😵💫 (no tantrums or crying just nonstop intervention to keep Dalton from kicking/somersaulting/vaulting into the chair of the poor guy ahead of us) but we made it!
Yeah I brought out the boys’ winter/spring clothes that I’d already packed away since Michigan has had summer weather for a while now! It cracked me up to be packing long sleeves and sweats for July 😂
The highs here in Michigan will be almost 100 next week. We won’t be here, though — I’m packing for our vacation to a beach in Southern California. Shorts and tees, you ask? Nah. Mostly sweatshirts, jeans, and long sleeved shirts. 😅 Especially cause the ocean breeze makes it even cooler!
Send thoughts and prayers. I am taking both of my children on a cross country flight to California by myself on Sunday. Connor will sit very happily on his tablet the whole time — Dalton has a screen attention span of, oh… about 3 minutes. 😵💫 Other than snacks, any ideas?
