It's hard to believe that our dog was born on a farm to two working dogs. Her father was a HUGE Border Collie that patrolled an orange orchard and her mother was a smaller one who kept farm animals inline. Their offspring just wants treats and to stay in bed all day.

We adopted our dog from a farm; no pedigree whatsoever. The family that had her and her siblings loved them so much so we got ourselves a magical dog! She is the embodiment of the phrase, "Dogs, we don't deserve them."

Yesterday at the dog park, a guy with an asshole of a dog was "debating" with another guy who has a sweet dog. The guy with the sweet dog was advocating for a woman's right to choose and body autonomy. The asshole guy was spewing bullshit from a Christian religious tract from the 80s.
Someday our dog will learn that tolerance is not the same as friendship.
I have 2 cats, which you would never know by my level of excitement when meeting a cat outside my home. They are iron and I am a magnet. These are my two cats and people are equally as enamoured by them when they come over. Louie the Siamese will sit on the couch during a party - he's that social!
Yesterday I had some friends over for a craft day; since we're all "of a certain age," we deemed it, "The No Fucks Given Craft Club." Even though Louie is only 7, he's an honorary member.
Border Collies are known for their dogged determination (pun intended) and persistence. Case in point: Louie our Siamese cat, the accidental BFF to our Border Collie. She finally wore him down!
