FQA tester, cat-dad, and possibly 3 raccoons in a trenchcoat. I play D&D and M:tG, and cosplay on occasion.
Part of Megaman fell off due to some of the glue on the belt failing from the heat, but at least I got a shot of the full costume beforehand. At least I have Team Rocket with me.
So, I finished the head for Tasha's Brushbuddy cosplay.
Incredibly happy with how the helmet's turned out so far. Still needs some touchups and a couple finishing touches, but man, I didn't expect it would look this good. #megaman #megamancosplay #cosplay #cosplaywip
Also, had a random idea to fix the boot covers since they were too short. Originally made an alternate set of bracers, but decided to go with the first set. So, I took the bracers, flipped them, and stuck 'em to the boots to fix the height problem. #cosplaywip #cosplay #megaman #megamancosplay
Front details printed, printing the earpieces at this very moment. Earpieces have the middles removed so I'll be able to hear better with the helmet on (going to put a mesh or a cloth cover in there so it's not just an empty hole).
Front details are half printed. Currently held together with duct tape since I'm not ready to paint yet. Also, probably popping a hinge in the back and hiding Velcro behind the detailing to make the helmet a little easier to put on.
Was going to put together a pattern for a foam helmet in case 3d printing one didn't work out, but Husk had other ideas.
Wasn't entirely happy with the first helmet I printed, so I designed a new one based on X's helmet.
Put together my first Gunpla today. Got the Entry-Grade RX-78-2 a few weeks ago, finally got around to assembling it. Probably not going to go any higher than Entry level if I get more, though. I don't think I'd have the patience (or space) for all the fiddly bits.
These are the ribbons I'll have this year at Otakuthon!
Partially printed base for the Megaman helmet. Still need to print the upper-back, the side bits and crest, and a version of the visor, but I'm happy with how it's turning out so far. #3dprinting #helmet #megaman #theprotomen #cosplaywip #cosplay
This is the design I'm sticking with for the Megaman helmet. I printed out a mini version of it so I could see what it looks like in 3d space. The actual visor will be a separate piece once I rig up a design that lets me still see through it. #3dprinting #cosplay #megaman #theprotomen
It's finally light jacket weather. And I just happen to have a new light jacket.
The only attack rolls that I made with my wizard for the Christmas-themed one-shot that our DM ran for us. My Harengon Wizard had Gauntlets of Ogre Power, granting him a 19 strength score because I thought it would be funny for a 3ft rabbit magician to be able to throw hands.
Here's my projected cosplay lineup for #Otakuthon2025. Black Mage on Friday/Saturday, and then Taro Sakamoto for my yearly Lazy Sunday cosplay.
Black Mage 95% complete. Needs a couple touchups in a few spots and a pair of gloves, but otherwise done. #cosplay #cosplaywip #finalfantasy #finalfantasycosplay #blackmage
They are taking their, "guard the human while he brushes his teeth," duties very seriously.
Staff is 90% done. Just gotta touch up the silver paint in a couple spots and give it the cloth wrap around the handle and base of the head. #cosplaywip #cosplay #cosplayprop #3dprinting #propmaking
Black Mage cosplay is coming along well. Got the shapes for the coat cut and positioned. Next, I need to adjust the length and add proper sleeves and attach the collar.. After that, it's just hems and detailing. #cosplay #cosplaywip #blackmage #finalfantasy #finalfantasycosplay
Black Mage hat's coming along nicely. Going to go to Fabricville on Saturday and get more fabric for the cloak, since I'm not happy with the current progress on it. #cosplay #cosplaywip #blackmage #finalfantasy
Pattern for the black mage hat is complete, and Husk decided to help me with making the pattern.
I'm kinda not-great at drawing, so Heroforge it is for my D&D characters most of the time. Here's my current character, both in and out of disguise. Elim's his assumed name, Valyar Nox (or just Nox) is his actual name. He's a Tiefling rogue/feylock with the Charlatan background.
A picture of the babies, Gremlin and Husk, to cleanse the feed. No, I don't care that Gremlin is nearly 8, she is still just baby.
