Baby ducklings have been spotted on the far side of the pond. We haven’t gotten the pond treated yet so the water is mucky. Until then, may I present: the baby pool. They’re too little to get in and out by themselves.
Corporal punishment is sometimes a good reaction to aggressive behavior in young children. and by "sometimes" I mean there are stringent conditions that must be met, otherwise it backfires and becomes abuse that creates more aggression. SOOoo it's probably best to just... not hit your kids.

I’m still figuring out who comes by every night. We get 2-3 raccoons, a juvenile skunk, and a few opossums. This one’s my favorite.
I bought 40 lbs of cracked corn for $11 and now the migrating geese have a snack for before and after their nights on the pond. They all land at sunset and leave after sunrise. The pond was semi-frozen again last night so it was a constant sound of ice crackling under their body weight.
Shoutout to Nabisco for giving celiac ppl a tasty Oreo and Chips Ahoy! treat in snack-size portions too. Thankful for the clear labeling cuz you legit cannot even tell they’re gluten-free (and that’s almost scary.)
