Got up fairly early to beat the heat and ended up down by the sea for a long walk along the sand. Never seem to be down there at the right time, even tho the time changes every day. Ready for a nap now, tho...

Earlyish morning on a sandy beach with the sea still going out on the right, and pebbles and wooden groynes up on the left. Mid left is the promenade and usual seaside hotels. It's a very bright sunny day, the sand is damp underfoot and the bottom of my trousers are soaked. In the distance a lone figure walking towards me, and their dog, who had a nice wallow in a rock pool when we passed each other.

Saw these dumped in a fire escape on my morning walk. Didn't investigate the titles behind, but I feel there's a story here...

A pile of LPs without the covers. The top one seems to be a Reader's Digest compilation. Now dirty, and warped by the weather.

Another pile of about 6? vinyl records just left on the path without their covers. The top one here is also a Reader's Digest compilation called The Sound of Brass.

I've been trying to make modular #origami stars this last week. Managed 2 out of 4 models successfully, and then the difficulty ratcheted right up... Top yellow and orange star is Juan Ignacio, and the bottom, light blue and light pink star is Ignacio. Both models by Maximiliano Ortiz.

Two modular origami stars made from 8 subunits each, that have to be folded as accurately and identically as possible to fit together properly, and stay securely attached so they don't move around without being glued. The top model has 8 points, and is yellow and orange and white. The bottom model is pastel blue and pastel pink, and white, and has 16 points.

A seated corn on the cob on the left asked the corn on the cob on the right, who has just come in through the open door, "Is it hot outside?" To which the entirely pop corn in cob shape replies, "Fuck off.".

Every star starts with a single...er... journey? 🤷‍♀️ I accomplished an #origami eventually. Model is Polina Pinwheel, by Maria Sinayskaya.

8 identically folded origami subunits in either pink and white, or red and white paper, on a board below the instruction book. The units are ready to be assembled.

Hours later, the finished modular origami star, in alternative red and light pink.

Looking through a slatted white blind onto the white conservatory roof below, where one of the neighbourhood foxes is fast asleep in a shaded corner. Shhh!!

Again, it's one I thought of, but then decided I wasn't smart enough. I went back into Blue Prince. While watching Ryan solve the castle clue, which I do not have the patience to physically do, I was running experiments to get access to a place and document that he doesn't yet know exist by ep 107.

From the video game, Blue Prince, a pair of closed doors, with a blue holly leaf motif in the centre. No obvious way to open these doors and proceed further, so we are stalled.

Hah! Thank you. It's made from the worst possible paper. These two are better paper. That one looks better because I added a touch of glue to close the neck gape. My house seems to be liking me at present, although progress has slowed right down. That's when I start getting fed up.

I've spent so long looking at the #origami swans in #BluePrince that I had to make some. Left and right are traditional models, and the central model is by Robert J. Lang. Hope the folks in the coffee shop overlooking the lake with swans on were pleased with the ones I left on the table...

No, it's not a mistake. A virtually blank photo that looks like a it's just grey cloud. But it is in fact a very foggy view over a large lake. There's a slightly darker grey stripe across the horizontal middle of the photo, which is the trees on the other side of the lake.

Lovely morning spent with @clairefaulkes.bsky.social teaching me how to make this #origami horse model. Mine is the purple one.

#ShowMeYouKnits I pretty much only make things for myself in grey. Black, when the eyes can manage it, but dark grey is the compromise. Unfortunately, I need baby soft thin yarn, and that usually only comes in light greys... Booo!
