Trying to keep my chin up,heart open and mind working. I come from a long line of "make-doers"...I fix things, make things and if it can be repaired "it's still good." Married for 35 years.
This summer I saw tadpoles, This summer I did not frown, They absorbed their tails, then grew feet They began to hop around…they began to hop around…..yeeeeah! A friend and her roomies rescued several hundred tree frog tadpoles from a swimming pool this July. (Continued in comments)
Any idea what his species might be? Found this beauty on the steps. Just look at that wingspan!
@rsbinpvd.bsky.social Visiting a friend in the little state of hope. ⚓️⛵️🌊
Messing around with the No Fusion camera app in low light tonight and I couldn’t be more delighted. These shots are like pastels! All I did was brighten them a bit.
This one is probably going to require you to retreat to a dark space to view… Starting in lower left and then moving towards upper center left are fireflies. Not many fireflies, but fireflies!! And if you turn the volume up, frogs croaking.💚
Volume up! Just me darting out the door to catching the sound of geese geesing in the sky....
My morning view. I sleep on my camping mat ,in the living room these days,as my shoulder prefers it. So being at ground level, when I awake, I am often greeted by this....Hugo watching over me....in my spot on the couch. It's the only time he chooses that spot....💝
When in doubt, put the snow pile in the middle of one of the busiest intersections in the city.
Exhausted by all the noise outside. He's an older fella and we got him after his man had to be placed in a long-term care facility. He has the most sensitive hearing of any cat I've ever shared a home with and the snow removal sounds were hard on him. He's a sweet soul.
I wasn't in Massachusetts for the Blizzard of '78. This may be the closest I get to experiencing it. We haven't seen a single plow. We're mostly dug out but I don't think we're going anywhere for a while. ❄️
We're hunkered down for the blizzard...battery lights are ready on the shelves my great-uncle made before I was born. He served in WWII,as did my grandfather. I grew up talking on that phone up there...back when party lines were a thing and our phone number had 5 digits....
