Painting from a British Railways 1976 Motorail brochure - I happened upon it at via the Ormskirk, Preston & Southport Travellers Assn. It took my eye as being of its time, not least because of the ill-fated Austin Princess car. I couldn't see any credit for the artist sadly.

The brand new Waterside Cycling/Walking Bridge, Lady Bay Bridge (a former Midland Railway bridge now used for road vehicles) and the famous Trent Bridge from which Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club takes the name for it's ground.

Maghull's Frank Hornby Heritage Centre (Merseyside UK) has had this Dinky Toys MK1 Ford Escort police car for a while. The doors have been repainted, a replacement roof sign obtained & a set of reproduction decals added. The rest remains in play-worn condition & its now back on public display.

Cecil Raikes the famous former Merrsey Railway loco that's in store at National Museums Liverpool gets a mention in a 2009 book called 'Coal Mines Remembered - Notts & East Midlands pits of the past'. The fact that it's not on public display may well be why the text says 'Did it survive, we wonder?
