I would say you have got to be shitting me, but that might be a little too on point. Kohler has a smart toilet called... Claude and they're leaning into this b/c they trademarked the name! Yes, this is real. You can find it on the Kohler website.
Even worse is when you see them and decide to back up and skip the aisle, but not before they notice you so now it’s doubly awkward. BTW, because of your avatar, I’m obliged to include this image.
For 4th of July, Baskin-Robbin's has a flavor called "America's Birthday Cake." It's a blend of Strawberry and Cake flavored ice creams. Not to be confused with America's 250 Birthday Cake, which was a dozen different ice creams, but now just a bucket of raw milk after all the flavor pulled out.
This is my favorite stupid bot DMs that I’ve ever received (on Instagram). Like are they actually trying to be ridiculous?
The deal sounds acceptable, but I will need to have my legal advisor review this first.
Adding this fundraiser boosted by Fella @ducugavril.nafoforum.org. Doing a small bit extra this week to keep Ukraine from being forgotten from the headlines. Russia will lose.
I don’t have time to be a Fella these days so I do weekly automatic donations to Come Back Alive. We can’t let the chaos caused by Trump and Bibi in the Middle East impair Ukraine’s fight so I’m jumping in for a little bit more this Toonie Tuesday. Russia will lose.
Maaaan, someone sure wants to sell the idea that Green Day has mellowed out and only came to sing Kumbaya.
Been too busy to be a proper NAFO agent lately, but still jumping in to requests from my old trusted fundraisers. Lots of things to give to these days. Join me in this this Fiver Friday campaign if you have the means.
My #NoKings day: I delivered a tribute to my Father-in-law, William Edward Stiles Jr, WW2 vet, proud Irishman, civil rights activist, and labor negotiator who defied the KKK to represent Black teachers. He’d be proud that his Asian-American son-in-law was bearing his flag in power.
The train ride into the #HandsOff protest in San Jose was a part of the experience. Everyone already on the train would clap and cheer as more sign holding people squeezed into the already packed cars at every stop. And then when we got there, you realized just how many of us there were.
Today I’m paying tribute to a city with one of the most awesome and honest town mottos. This is sign at the city line of Adelanto, California. It reads “the city WITH unlimited possibilities.” If you’ve ever been to Adelanto, you’d understand.
More food photography from my recent gig of photographing whatever a group of small businesses asked me to shoot. Did this hours after helping a Mexican restaurant. I don’t get the benefit of knowing what I’m shooting. I have to wing it every time & it was rough b/c I hadn’t shot food in years.
Got asked to shoot food for the first time since the pandemic and they didn’t make it easy. Got lots of gloppy food that smells great, but has little shape and one 400F dish too hot to move that complicated my ability to position plates. Still pleased enough given the circumstances. #foodphotography
Weird things I never thought I'd need to know. Undead Barbie is a hilarious gag, but a horror show to photograph because bright magenta pink really screws up the color cast of spooky photos. Reducing green levels by about 5% and desaturating magenta helps to offset the Barbie color shift.
Spending your weekend as Spider Man taking lots of fun #Halloween photos: 10/10!!! Returning home tired and sore as hell to cull and edit over 2000 photos… 😩
Well this sucks. Air quality from NorCal and Oregon fires are hitting pretty hard in the SF Bay Area right now. May linger for a few days. Hope that’s wrong.
This is the second Walgreen’s pharmacy in a row that gave me a CO2 reading in the 500ppm range. In this one, I can actually hear the ventilation fans going overhead. Most retail spaces check in between 700-800ppm.
Capitol Drive-in Movie Theaters in San Jose, CA at sunset is oddly picturesque. Large jets coast right over it from two directions on their way to landing at SJC. This is all the more reason to love the experience or hate it depending on who you are. I’m on team love. Support the drive-in!
I recently got reacquainted with the drive-in and it has been a quirky, but great way to enjoy movies. It's so informal and people act like they're in their own living rooms. The occasional odd RV suggests that some may literally be coming to the movies in their living rooms. #photography #movies
