Less popular than its contemporaries in Final Fantasy and Breath of Fire, the first Lufia is a "my first RPG" game that requires an incredible amount of XP grinding with a boilerplate "The Hero seeks out the sword and defeats the evil demon king" plot. I still love it and play it every few years.
