Very productive evening of drawing, I'm gonna do some more, maybe get some more writing and lit analysis in. I'm a little sleepy but when am I not a little sleepy?
Simon constantly talks about womanhood as shackles that Mark was escaping, as if that is the justification for why he chose to live as a man after being forced to live as a girl for some time--the analysis never delves further than that and gives us passages such as these

It also presents some things as fact that in fact have not been proven
*groans* I have read parts of this but it's time for a thorough read for research purposes. I have a complicated relationship with this book.

Started this book with my partner last night! So far it's fun, I like the prose in particular.
There is a local bookstore near where I work, which is dangerous. I bought these today and I have Testo Junkie and Otherworldly Anarchist book one on the way 🥹

"You can't transition after your 20s" I re started T recently at 31, it doesn't really matter how "good looking" transition makes you, I feel more comfortable in my own skin. You shouldn't resign yourself to living in a body you're not comfortable in.
I remember I got scoffed at a bit when I started this project, bc people for some reason think that transmascs have a huge presence in media and trad pub--but these numbers continue to tell me a different story it's disheartening to log them.

I read this over the weekend, it's super short, a 30-40 page essay. I need to make a yappy review about it but much like the last Kostash book I read, I find this subject matter extremely close to heart in a way that is continually difficult to write about. It's excellent.
Review incoming, but I powered through this last night. It's a really sweet read with worldbuilding I really enjoyed!

Amped Up! is a romance novel ft a nonbinary hacker girl protagonist, the story balances a polyamorous romance, multiple friendships, and a political heist.
Psychostorm is a YA superhero novel with a trans woman protagonist who punches a god in the face
