U liked Thee Parrrty from Justice and Uffie oh do I have an album for U!!! The girls do not have this kinda production and vision RN and nothing wrong with that, but it's clear Slayyter's running laps with this Rugged Muddy Boots style and honestly? Yes GAWD

When I said before in friend groups and to that coworker I mentioned before to get Underscores stocks now I meant it and I was SO VALIDATED!!! Less depth and rawness than Wallsocket, but an incredibly well put together pop album all the same. The pivot went very well artistically in my book, go gurl

Imagine my surprise in beginning to listen to Oohshxt! as a standalone single only to find out GURL U DROPPED AN ALBUM?? Very fun listen, I enjoyed it. I'd be intrigued in a more realized album from her for sure

Friend/former coworker said I should keep an eye out for this group and I sure did! Well-executed synth pop in the vein of Boy George or Cyndi Lauper at times, REAL good debut from these two I'd love to see what they do next

Fun fact: This is the first James Blake album I listened to in full! I get it now LMAOOO He feels like my kinda artist idk why I never got into em sooner. Red wine music, is how I'd dilute it down to.

Now this is a switch up from the live instrumentation of the previous two albums to one that's more sample driven at times, but damn GENA u sure know how to do it! Another great one fr, if I see a vinyl of it I'd be hard pressed not to get it

So with that in mind, Durand Bernarr y'all! I fucked with this whole album cept maybe "slide you to the side like panties" as a hook line but I can look past it for the message of that song. Deeply gorgeous album, great vocal performances across the whole thang. Yes gurl, yes.
