Lastly, a small plaza paying tribute to the souls lost during the disaster and those who’ve put forth towards the recovery efforts. May they never see another storm with such devastation in this century.

The western end of the Main Street has the most dramatic damage but the original bridge over to Chimney Rock park being wrecked really struck me during my visit.
Every business in the town of Chimney Rock has a story to tell after Hurricane Helene devastated the community in 2024. Thankfully the rebuild efforts have brought the area back and tourism is returning as fast as the shops are.

I was just looking at iPad prices yesterday because I found the receipt for my iPad Pro that I bought almost exactly 4 years ago. Wild to see the baseline price $400 more expensive in that short amount of time.
It was interesting seeing the grand Floridian lobby without a giant gingerbread house, but honestly, the mini gingerbread displays are still super cool to see. Shame to see the massive house go but I get it.
I’ve never felt so under the rock until just now when I realized the Buncha Crunch box doesn’t have a Nestlé logo because apparently they sold the rights to Ferrero in 2018??

I was finally able to see Stolen Kingdom at my local Indie theater. Phenomenal documentary. Part crime thriller. Part love letter to weird theme park fans. Completely insane. 5/5 go watch it ASAP!

Went to the World’s largest knife showroom in the World today. Spending an hour and a half isn’t nearly enough to see everything they have to offer but it was certainly worth the stop. May have to swing by again before I leave.
