Too tired to do much, but interested in so many things.
I love this one (from the eastern coast of Ireland) but I’ve no idea what it is.
Here are Potato (meow) and Cinnamon (woof) pretending to be cows and eating grass. I don’t know why they do this, but it’s one of their favourite games.
I’m in awe of this bee that is about to enter a portal to another universe.
@phaneritic.bsky.social may I trespass on your good will once more? Do you have any ideas about these two?
This currently my favourite. I think it looks like the song of the sea.
Lepidopterists of Bluesky, is this just an elderly Painted Lady with its colours faded?
Stopping for a coffee in the sun while charging my car. As well as good coffee, glorious sunshine and picturesque views, this place features a pair of friendly Irish wolfhounds.
@athenepallas.bsky.social The violets are also stunning this year. Patches of blue on roadside banks everywhere.
If you close your eyes, you should be able to smell a rich, coconutty smell
Fraughan flowers - pronounced frocken. That’s the local name for wild blueberries, and I love the flowers too.
I am ridiculously proud of my little crocheted octopus/Amish puzzle ball. It’s full of imperfections, but crochet is great for hiding errors.
There were more spectacular magnolias at the National Botanic Gardens (Kilmacurragh) yesterday, but I fell in love with these melodramatically fainting blossoms.
My morning began with a procession of my three teenagers, bringing me coffee, fresh brownies and this nosegay gathered from the garden. I feel very loved.
I love this in Tallaght University Hospital. One day all hospitals will have libraries for bored patients and their families. All credit to South Dublin Libraries. That’s the kind of innovation we like to see.
Amazing! Thank you so much. And now I HAVE to make a mat so I can train our dog to sit quietly on it. I wonder how that will go.
Doesn’t this look cosy and home-like? Mug trees are really annoying, cluttering up the counter and too easy to knock over.
I’m sorry things are so hard. Would a stick help? Cinnamon is convinced there is no situation not improved by a stick.
Here are Potato and Cinnamon, BFFs, showing what the world could be like if we just tried to get along. They wish you lots of luck!
I couldn’t resist gathering these at the beach the other day. Please help me come up with some lovely craft plan to make my despoliation of the shore worthwhile.
Retiring to live with your friend. Your friend hates you so much she sends you back to India.
And this is why we moved to Ireland - for pound of butter as standard!
