We had a delicious celebratory lunch at La Boheme, Lymm and they wished me all the best for my new book!🥰 If you know of any good French restaurants in the Manchester area please lmk. In the meantime La Bohème is my favourite. Always excellent.

Mr C & I are on annual leave this week and having a staycation. On Wednesday we drove to north Wales: I’ve wanted to visit Gwydir Castle ever since I read Judy Corbett’s book Castles in the Air about their work to restore the place. It dates back to the 1500s….
Had a lovely evening at Simply Books listening to Claire Daverley and Bobby Palmer. I just love Claire’s books and now I need to read Bobby’s (his latest is told from 85 points of view!).

It always makes me chuckle when Amazon alerts me that Sophie Claire has a new book coming out soon. She has, and it’s only a week away. I can’t wait to share with you Amber and Nico’s story.

Of course I visited a couple of bookshops in Versailles🇳🇱and was thrilled to spot some favourite authors in the Feel Good section. My book haul (incl gifts from my lovely godmother) was a bit big for my tiny suitcase but I made them fit. 😂
A bit of culture at the Musée d’Orsay. (So many tourists! And yes I was one of them😂). If you love Renoir I definitely recommend the exhibition. So much to see.
I’ve escaped for a few days to Paris where it’s ridiculously hot!🥵 This was the Palais de Versailles. 🇳🇱 (Conscious that I’m always wearing this dress in holiday snaps but I love it because it doesn’t crease!😂)
