13. "Tales from Earthsea" by Ursula K. Le Guin Beautiful tales from many different times and places in Earthsea. "The Finder" was such a wonderful, fleshed out story, but I also loved "The Bones of the Earth" and "Dragonfly". The lore stuff at the end was also a treat to read. Incredible as always.

12. Easy Delivery Co. A short, sweet, "cozy" game where you play as a cute cat delivering packages along a cold, lonely mountain range. The driving mechanics have a solid, arcade-y feel and the OST rules. The story is sparse but what is there is touching. A solid little indie title.

11. GOAT Pretty simple plot that doesn't challenge the viewer, but gorgeous visuals, wonderful character designs, and genuinely funny dialogue make it an enjoyable watch. Is it groundbreaking? No, but not every movie has to be. A fun film I'm happy to add to my collection

10. "Tehanu" by Ursula K. Le Guin A powerful though at times messy story centering women and their place in the world of Earthsea. I absolutely love the cast of characters and their many real, complicated, conflicting feelings. A beautiful and raw story that only deepens my love for this series.

9. Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Charming characters, fun fight scenes, and some insane plot twists made this an overall enjoyable experience. The story was a bit hard to follow at times and a little undercooked, but the series does a lot with what time it has. Solid overall!

8. "The Farthest Shore" by Ursula K. Le Guin I thoroughly enjoyed this book as much as the previous two! The worldbuilding and storytelling on display is masterful as ever. Genuinely one of the most horrifying villains and coolest setups I've had the pleasure of engaging with in a long time.

7. "The Money Store" by Death Grips I've not really jelled with Death Grips any other time I'd tried their music, but something about this album just... took hold of me and wouldn't let go. Insane wordplay, crazy beats, and a simultaneously abrasive and addictive vibe I just keep coming back to.

6. "Mountainhead" by Everything Everything Coldplay if they got weird with it and were *actually* good. Seriously though, this is some really fun, accessible, and surprisingly poignant, artsy alt/pop rock. A wonderful discovery my husbear shared with me that I've had on repeat all week.

5. Princess Mononoke A jaw-droppingly beautiful, timeless tale about humanity, nature, and the struggle for balance - with the world, with others, and within ourselves. The direction, art, music, and voice acting are all incredible. Moro's Japanese VA in particular gave me chills. Absolute kino ❤️

4.1 Further thoughts on Silent Hill f #Mordi'sMediaThread2026

What a game! Some of the endings made me cry and others made my skin crawl. The enemy and location designs are both excellent, though I'm a bit bummed there aren't more enemy designs throughout the game. The story overall was also excellent and really hits on a lot of themes I feel deserve to be explored more in horror media.

The Japanese voice acting is excellent and everyone did a standout job! Hinako's VA was especially good imo, conveying so much pent up rage, fear, and pain while also portraying this very cool and collected side of the character when interacting with Shu or her friends.

The Otherworld designs are just as good as Ebisugaoka imo, they just tap into different kinds horror tropes. The sequence in the Shimizu residence was legit one of the most harrowing experiences I've had in a game in a long time, even if there were barely any enemies. I also loved all the folklore and mythology that ties into the the themes of the story, particularly with Kotoyuki.

My one gripe is the combat. It's... fine. These games aren't known for their combat so I get what they were going for, but After getting the first two endings I just turned down the difficulty to finish up the last few endings so combat would go by faster. But other than that I thoroughly enjoyed this game! Highly recommended for any Silent Hill fans or fans of horror games in general

2. Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit A super charming animated film with plenty of jokes both obvious and subtle. The slapstick, visual humor, character design, and premise all come together to create a really fun experience I'd happily rewatch in a few months. #Mordi'sMediaThread2026

1.1 Further thoughts on American Psycho #Mordi'sMediaThread2026

I seriously enjoyed this movie! Patrick is such a disgusting guy and Christian Bale plays him perfectly. The opening and ending monologues are both excellent and so much of Patrick's internal dialogue is as insightful and horrifying as it is funny because of how petty and pathetic he is.

There's plenty of other really funny pieces of dialogue and the way Patrick just info dumps about music before killing his victims is something that kind of surprised me. I legit rewatched those scenes a few times just to focus on what he's actually saying instead of the prep he's carrying out for the murder to come.

For as funny as some of the dialogue is there's plenty more that is just... stomach-turning. The way Patrick talks to and about women, his homophobia, his racism, and the ways these attitudes are both tolerated and encouraged is clearly meant to draw the audiences ire and disdain but that doesn't make it any less uncomfortable. That said, it feels purposeful and the film is obviously critical of Bateman's attitudes. This film is certainly not the most elegant critique of these subjects I've seen, but it's surprisingly refreshing considering the age we live in now.

Aside from it's more general social commentary, the horror of Bateman's murders is really sharp and distressing. The violence gets a bit goofy toward the end of the movie, but I'd say that's intentional considering just how bizarre that last 20 minutes of the film are.

The bit with the ATM had me cackling, and the sheer mania of Patrick sprinting from building to building before calling his lawyer really gets you in the sweaty, stressed out headspace of the killer. The scene where he talks to his lawyer, shouting at him "Why, you stupid bastard!" followed by his closing monologue is just the cherry on top. "This is not an Exit".

If you've got the stomach for it I highly recommend giving this a watch. It's really fucking funny in places, but it'll just as quickly turn your stomach with the violent death of a woman or a messed up "joke" about gay men or black people.

21. Ghost of Tsushima - Iki Island DLC (100%) A moving story about facing your inner darkness and learning to forgive yourself set in an absolutely gorgeous new area. Loved all the new quests, animal shrines, and vanity gear that was added. A perfect addition to a game I already love ❤️

20. "The Tombs of Atuan" by Ursula K. Le Guin Took me a bit longer to finish than AWoE but it was just as good! Very different from the first book, but with equally stunning prose. Genuinely has some of my favorite dialogue and philosophical musings I've read so far. Another banger, Miss Le Guin ❤️

19. Bluey (S1 - S3) My *God* is this series cute! And thoughtful and heartfelt and just... ugh, there are few things I can recommend without hesitation, but this is one of them. A pale, blue light emanates from the tip of my wand, illuminating the inky darkness of the forest clearing. There it stands: a tall, languid beast, misshapen and terrifying. Aether as black and ancient as the Void animates the thing, crooked, warping streaks of white defining its silhouette. The Shadow’s fur bristles, its glowing, eyeless sockets fixed on me.

“I spent so much time afraid and ashamed of you... holding in all that pain and doubt and anxiety… I couldn’t let them see it. They’d think I was weak, that I didn’t have wait it takes to complete my Proving… I didn’t want to disappoint them.”

The Shadow snarls, its posture shifting as I take a step forward.

“And yet, despite my best efforts, I still didn’t earn my Proving. My fear of you had left me blind to your influence; how it had completely consumed me. And now…”

I touch the pale, scarred flesh marking the left half of my face.

“You’ve claimed more than just my mind. You’ve scarred my face and have taken one of my eyes. And you’ll just keep taking more ‘til I am all but gone.”

My grip tightens, wisps of static-laden mist escaping my muzzle. The Shadow’s shape morphs and grows, bones and sinew snapping as I take another step closer.

“After all this time, I finally understand. You are a part of me – for better and for worse. I was a fool to think I could cast you out, let alone destroy you.”

My eye begins to glow as the light of my wand intensifies. The impenetrable, otherworldly darkness of the clearing begins to dissipate, receding back into the vast void of nothingness just beyond.

“Strength alone could never bring you to heel, but I’ve learned what can.”

I take another step forward, radiant silver rays of light pouring from the tip of my wand. The Shadow cries out, its half-changed form drawing back into itself as it blindly staggers deeper into the woods.

“Here and now… I will make myself whole again.”

18. OFF (2025) It's been a while since I've played a game that's felt so surreal. The weird names, lore, and symbolism are all great. I wasn't super into the game at first, but the longer I played the more that changed. I *loved* all the secret bosses and just how dark the endings are. Good shit ❤️

17. Armored Core VI What a fucking experience. The movement tech, the number crunching, the AC designs, the feel of the weapons and combat, the music, the absolutely bonkers story… I love all of it. Genuinely one of my top 10 favorite games I’ve ever played.
